ebay authenticity guarantee is ebay services to verify that higher dollar items are real. The authenticity guarantee still confused alot of people and some changes are coming to ebay authenticity guarantee process. Is this change good or bad? I had an issue with ebay authentication. I sold a pair of jordan 4 travus scotts. They went to authentication and they deemed them not authenticate. Because if a deflated airbag. I hadnt noticed this before. Now they told the buyer they were not authenticate, not that they had an unannounced flaw. Which looks terrible on me as a seller. Just my story about this.

That's interesting. I just bought some tickets for an event and my GF said that Ebay offered the same tickets at a lower price. Turns out that Ebay is offering the tickets at the pre-event prices which you can get on your own for the same price on line. Living up to their name, Ebray.

So.. I have a pair of used Nike's from a thrift store and have never gone through this process. Do I just list them as usual, and Ebay sends a notification to me? I normally resell jewelry. Do you think that will be one of the categories? Thanks so much!

But how does it work? Meaning …. I have a bag to sell. I take pictures and describe it and list it accurately? Then when someone does click and purchase it, the shipping label from eBay that I print will be sending it to an eBay Authentication not the buyer? Or do I send it to ebay authentication before I list the item?

I got another question about Mercari and it’s a mouthful
Here’s a potential scenario
You’re selling these rare shoes for $400 and some buyer decided to purchase it but once he gets it and opens it up. He has a bad mindset of destroying them and pretending that it was damaged during transit or way before he even got it and decides to take pictures of the so-called damage shoes to report it to Mercari
Then Mercari investigates it and sides with the buyer, (causing the buyer to fool Mercari)
You received your shoes back completely damaged
Does Mercari pay that $400 back to you?
If that made any sense

I understand the scenario. This is assumption in my part because I don't kno what Mercari would do. If you get the shoes back and they are destroyed, assuming Mercari accepted the return, then you would have to prove to Mercari that they did a switcharoo. Unfortunately, I don't believe Mercari would give you a refund just by saying it.
My. Only experience with this is with a 40 dollar pair that I sold and, eventhough I showed damaged in the pictures and descriptions, Mercari approved the return. As soon as the shoes ere delivered, the case was closed and I had no way of appealing the claim. I didn't pursue it further because it was 40 but I'm sure that would be the same scenario even with 400 shoes
