Great video and watching you help teach your son life skills he can use . My son was 10 and baling hay and and bucking bales and loved to do it all Summer long . He was always the first one in the loft pulling the old bales out to start stacking the new hay . He came home more than once and had to wash the dust and hay off before coming in to the house to take his shower . Thank you for sharing it brings back some great memories .

At least no water pump to worry about on that 1940 B. A simple thermo-siphon system.

As you do tune-ups on the older iron keep all your old points and condensers that you know still worked. Modern points and especially condensers that you buy are not as good as they used to be. Dated and less used technology from the land of almost right. Cut the wire off any known to be bad condensers and scrap bucket it so no chance you grab it again. Having known to be good spare condensers s greatly aides with troubleshooting. I have had to resort to installing some of my dads old used condensers that he saved a few times with hay on the ground. My old farmall h ran just fine with a small block chevy condenser in them to finish the hay before it rained as that is what he had the most of. Proper replacement installed later when hay was in the barn. Over the years I have collected a few more physical sizes of condensers as well. If the condenser will fit in distributor housing then it will allow you to try it.

Today's condensers are absolutely junk. I tend to buy 3 or 4 of them at a time in an attempt to get a good one.
I have also never had ignition issues become better with choke.
