When he broke his arm I will be honest he looked uncomfortable when they told him to break his arm. Then when he broke it I saw real regret in his eyes. Then I loved when Miguel said Kreese got in his head. Then he saved Demetri from Cobra Kai. That was amazing scene and he looked at Cobra Kai. When he saw Demetri helpless and they fought Cobra Kai together.
Eli truly hatred what he had done the moment he did it. In the house fight, it finally became clear to him when he saw he was helping the very pricks that bullied him hurt his own binary brother. Thankfully, he stepped away from that path and became a total badass.

Not until the house fight was when he realized he chose the wrong side and his friends became his enemies! So that’s when he finally came to his senses and reconciled with Demetri and Miguel and defeated Cobra Kai!

Demetri is very forgiving I don’t think I’d ever want to be friends with someone again that broke my arm just to impress people that aren’t my friends!
Demetri's forgiveness is meant to be enormous, because his feelings for Eli are so big and important in his life. Most people wouldn't forgive any random friend or classmate or even a relative for traumatising them or putting them in the hospital; to be forgiven like that, the relationship would have be closer than close.
Everyone hates on Demetri 'speaking for/over' Eli in the first few episodes of season one, but from the perspective of someone who used to be a very quiet autistic kid in school (me), I think it's sweet and protective of Demetri. Perhaps Demetri accidentally went overboard and didn't leave enough room for Eli to express himself, but his intention was obviously coming from a place of love. Ultimately, Demetri didn't want Eli to get hurt doing karate, or hurt other people. And it's clear from Eli's body language that he didn't mind, and even felt pleased and relieved about it at the time (see how Eli smiles at Demetri at 0:08, happy to let Demetri chat to Miguel for both of them). Throughout the show, Eli always looks eagerly to Demetri for a response after he speaks, too, in both the earliest and the last seasons, so it's obvious Eli wants and values Demetri's input.
The fact that is sad is that Hawk was nice to demetri and slowly mean, and then Hella MEAN to demetri, like breaking his arm and ruining his Science project, and then becomes nice to him😊

But when Demetri rebuilt the thing and earned Yasmine's respect, what if Eli kicked a second soccer ball? Yes, I'm willing to die on this hill, but the entrance of the real Madara Uchiha is the best villain introduction in all of fiction.
