However, most TV shows that presents empowered nerds usually gets them from being in certain situations that just gives it to them like spider-man, or in general put them in situations where things just take care of themselves without doing anything. One thing I love about Cobra Kai is the focus on self-improvement, which gives a more realistic way for a nerd to change his life and become a more well-rounded character.

Only half of his 1st statement of his yelp review was even remotely true. He showed no regard for Miguel, Aisha, or Hawk. He repeated ignored Hawk's demands to be left alone at Moon's party. His roast was petty, spiteful, and uncalled for. He never even apologized to Hawk for any of that when Hawk apologized for the things he did at their 1-sided reconciliation.
Cause he never pretended to be the good guy and actually owned up to all the awful things he did. Can’t say the same about a few of the other characters.

Yo i literally just noticed that in s2, hawk has 10 spikes (or edges idk) but in s3 he got 9 of em and in s4 (before purple hawk) he got 8 of them
