The greatest thing about this, is Major Nelson basically flew across the continent to hang out with Boogie and play some Xbox and show him what's it's about. He as well as earned my respect.

I'm sorry if anyone disagrees, but Major Nelson is pretty classy, and doesn't seem stuck up. You can tell he loves his games, especially the Xbox One, but in my opinion, both systems seem great, and each person should be able to chose what system they want. I went for the Xbox One because I've always enjoyed the Xbox and so have my friends. Halo has always been one of my favorite games, and for this next-gen system, the exclusives for the Xbox One look great. That is just my opinion. PS4 is just for gaming, and that is fine, because it does have better specs and hardware, but that doesn't mean the Xbox One isn't good. They are both great. One key aspect to this is that game developers are not gonna spend extra money to develop a game that is cross platform and make it as best as they can for the PS4, it's just not gonna happen. The games are gonna be made the best they can that the Xbox can handle, and the PS4 will basically have the same graphics, most likely they will look better and run smoother, but there won't be much of a difference. I'm getting the Xbox One, and I hope that it works great, and that it won't repeat history. Also, I heard the PS4 is amazing, and gamers are loving it. That's awesome, and maybe some day I will buy one. I wish everyone would just get the system they want and be happy that they are fortunate enough to buy one. Happy Gaming everyone!

I have to say Boogie, Microsoft changing their policies on the gaming console is because high profile people like yourself did complain. I don't think you had any reason to apologise at the end.
It's not about complaining. It's about people making MS seem like the Source Of All Evil. Even AFTER they changed it. So it wasn't about the policies, the policies were just a window to unleash fanboy hatred at MS because even after delivering the changes 'gamers' wanted, they still bitched an whined and swore to never buy their console.

This video alone conveyed more about the value prospect of Xbone than all of Microsoft's prior advertising etc. The ability to "Follow" others is a great feature, we can keep up with what our favorite streamers are playing. Xbone is sounding much better than before. Major Nelson really seems to be a down to earth guy. This interview has changed my perspective quite a bit, I really liked the natural style, very relaxed, no corporate spin. Good stuff mate.
My thoughts exactly. This is the first time I actually felt excited for the Xbox one. Now I can't wait !
Great video. I also like how Larry Hyrb will admit to flaws or things not 'the best' about the Xbox, rather than the PR thing of just ignoring comments and questions.
So I hope he continues to have interviews with guys like this or Angry Joe or whomever- the guys that ask the hard questions. Don't avoid them. Because even if we hate the answers, I give a lot more respect when they do at least answer them in the first place.

Seems like a very good guy, would be hard to hate him, unless you got fired by him, and again unless that lead to some big good thing for you, then it would be like the time of change.

I have so much respect for XBOX now. I got my PS4 day one and love it! I can not wait until I get my XBOX ONE day one! Its going to be amazing having both consoles. ALL next gen consoles are amazing!

COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU I am a huge xbox fan and have also been a huge playstation fan... I mean why pick sides when both have done outstanding jobs in the past!?! Unfortunately I only had the funds to afford one console so I'm getting my xbox one DAY ONE EDITION on Thursday at midnight release and I plan on getting the ps4 for Christmas and if not then then I definitely will somewhere within in the next 6-12 months

Why do people hate Major Nelson? He's seems like a pretty cool guy, I mean he's a gamer just like us. I can tell he didn't like the original XB1 policies, that was easily noticeably during his interview with Angry Joe, but it was his job to promote them or else he'd lose his job.

I think a lot of people dislike him because he's the public face of the brand, he's a spin-man, a corporate mouthpiece. Even though that is the man's JOB... that's what he does for a LIVING. I disagree with a number of the things he has said in the past, but I always try to keep in mind that it's his job to paint the company he works for in a positive light, be it spin or honest information. That's going to be the way it is at any company for a person with a job description such as his. I'd also be willing to bet if anyone who flat out hates the guy were given the opportunity to have a job like his, they would jump all over it, regardless which game console they own or like. I don't know how much money the man makes, but I'm sure it's a pretty good salary. A big part of his job to play video games, how fuckin cool is that? Being the public face of the brand he is naturally going to catch a lot of shit, that's just the nature of the beast. It's a proverbial "blessing and a curse"
I just watched the Angry Joe interview because people were saying he came off as a right arse. He just seemed to want to answer the questions & was getting hurried ahead by someone off camera when a difficult question came up.
I remember watching the interviews at E3 and he looked really stressed out. TRying to promote the XB1 the whole time and keep a straight face with questions about the 24/7 DRM, the 3rd party kinect and anti-piracy policy. I felt bad for him because in older appearances he seems like a really cool guy. Even here, he's very charismatic.

That's very generous and nice of Major Nelson considering we are just days away from release. I would expect a big man like him to be preparing for other things, but instead took his time to meet Boogie. Another thing, it seems both companies, Sony and Microsoft, seem to enjoy Boogie and watch him especially.

I quite enjoy Major Nelson when he isn't in full-PR mode. The thing I enjoy most is that he actually is kind to his competitors ("who isn't excited for the next super mario?"), and generally friendly towards his hosts. Didn't know about him until this last E3.
This video doesn't change my mind about Microsoft's presser having provided minutes worth of hilarious material for one of the best E3 montages ever!
I gained so much respect for Major Nelson after he said he owned a Wii U. I'm glad Boogie did this interview, it really showed the other side of the coin. Both Sony and Microsoft should be proud of their new systems.
Major Nelson gained a lot of respect points today. What a guy to make a housecall and participate in this interview in this format. Glad Ive been with an xbox since 2001.

My xbox one came dead on arrival and although it has been a pain to contact support due to everyyone calling.. once i did reach them they were extremely helpful and wanted to solve my problem as soon as possible.. Im recieving my replacement xbox in 2 business days :) with a free month of live.
DOA's always suck, but it's not completely unheard of with electronic products. Just extremely rare. Good to hear they are willing to work with you :D
Sometimes I like it when stuff malfunctions because of how they fix it, I ordered a Sony laptop once and the HDD was bad to they sent me a new one with a SSD.

I know haters will jump on this I've had both consoles for years, I'll be getting PS4 and XboxOne. But I feel XboxOne is a NEXT GEN console but the PS4 just is a new console with upgraded PS3 graphics, I can't see why it's even in contest with XboxOne!

I'm not going to lose my cool and suddenly start considering Larry Hyrb to be the ultimate bro, he is in the end of the day just an employee doing as he's told. And his position is one of PR, hence, he will be doing some travelling and talking to people.
However, I'm nevertheless glad that he was able to talk to Boogie and that Boogie enjoyed himself.
Difference with Nelson is that he actually cares about the company and does a lot of work when he's not on the clock.

*Long time viewer, first time commenter* Boogie man... It's so sooo very rad to see you bringing a note of class and honesty into the fray of the current console war. The bluntness, honesty, respect and kindness you show to everyone you encounter (be they famous or not) is truly an example that I believe is worth following. I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but you really are the "Joe the Plumber" of gamers. I think we all have a little boogie/francis in us that we wish could be heard, and you have given us that. I won't be an idiot and say that you speak for all of us, but I definitely feel comfortable in saying that you speak for a good number of us, and we appreciate that more than you could ever know. From the days of being razzed by Gamepro editors for asking hard questions to now.. we have come a long way, and it's great to finally have an honest voice be heard.
People want Minority Report level hand gesturing and Iron Man level motion sensing, but people expect these to come all in 1 shot. It takes baby steps to get to these levels and to be honest only Microsoft are taking these steps seriously. Kinect might not be popular but it is definitely revolutionary and it is the right step towards the levels we all want in the future.

To be entirely honest does anyone really want motion control in gaming? It may be revolutionary and all but personally I don't really want it or know anyone that does. I am really hoping they move away from features like this and move towards something more interesting.

I'm not an console guy. I'm a PC guy. But this video is great. It's not like your typical heavily edited professional interview. It's genuine. It's down to earth. This was a great move by Microsoft. I think people will look much more favorably on XBone after this. Great move.

I love both Larry Hryb/Major Nelson & Phil Spencer and also love the whole Xbox team and all of the Xbox Game Studios people and the other game studios owned by Xbox & Microsoft! I’ve got an original Xbox, two Xbox 360s, and an Xbox One and hundreds and hundreds of Xbox games spanning across all three platforms and plan on getting the Xbox Series X when it ships in Holiday 2020! 💚

For Major Nelson to go to Boogie's place and show him the xbox one features is real neat. Major Nelson was very humble. Seeing stuff like this is real cool and I respect someone that will make a connection with someone like Boogie to try and show him some features that the Xbox has to offer. I would like to see more of these!

If this were me I'd act the same way. I was very ignorant about getting the Xbox One. Now that I've been hearing about all of these positive changes, I'm actually considering it. On a side note, I don't understand why I hear so many people trash on Major Nelson. He seems like a very nice guy, and the more I hear about him, the more respect I gain for him. Just watching this video just shows how kind and friendly he is, and he would act the same way as if he met you. It's so awesome seeing Boogie and Nelson in the same room, just 2 awesome people. And what's this about boogie just doing this just for a free Xbox? I don't know if you watched his previous videos, but when it was announced, he was furious, and millions were agreeing with him. Just because boogie is known, and got a chance to actually play the console, he's a free loader? No, I remember him saying that he did pre order both consoles, he would've still been getting them, known on TH-cam or not. I'm happy fornyou boogie, and it's awesome to see that you got this kind of opportunity, =)
The reason major nelson gets hate is because everyone thinks him and don mattrick are the same guy ( don mattrick is the guy that almost single handedly destroyed xbox)

Anyway, fuck this noise, I agree with people below who think Nelson only did this to try and counter Sony's attempt to get Boogie's love.

Because they didn't mention that they've been talking for month before Sony even contacted Boogie
IShot Bambi I caught that after I made my comment Ishot, however, it's still fishy... I have a feeling they might have contacted him before, but due to boogies health concerns, micro$soft couldn't accommodate him.. Sony however, seeing another opportunity to burn Xbox like they have been doing all this time, said - hell yeah, we will spare no expense and get boogie the trip of a lifetime, and in return he will give us rights to his boxing and show Francis favoring PS4 etc. Hence why Boogie got a metric ton of new subs and views for that video.
Xbox, realizing they got outbid AGAIN realized they missed a golden opportunity, and so decided to send Nelson in person to put a personal touch on it that in many ways equals Sony's treatment of Boogie.
What it does it make it look like Sony tried to buy boogie, meanwhile nelson just showed up with a Xbox and a desire to win him over with content... IE it doesn't look like Xbox is buying boogie, at worst it just makes them look like they are trying to befriend him too, but in a more real, underdog, kinda way.
It's all very carefully and scientifically calculated to win your favor, and it's damn effective.
Whats awesome about this though is how Boogie is like Queen Elizabeth or something with all these kings fighting over him

Up to consoles and marketing, Sony and Microsoft, in my opinion are about the same. But I have to say, this person, is such an incredible living advertise, he is brilliant. I hope that Microsoft will sell well, this is what I call product placement.

I have to say something else. I've been a PlayStation gamer since the beginning ever. That's never buying or playing any of the Xbox material ever. This is the first time in ages that I want to buy and Xbox now. I don't know what's happening to me anymore lol. I've done my homework with both consoles and I have to say Xbox is the clear winner for the next gen. Way to go BIll Gates you got my ass finally.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with this video. Major Nelson had given me a bad taste in my mouth after the Angry Joe thing, but I think the Xbox One has come along way. Thanks for the video Boogie, I enjoyed it.

If so, that will be a welcome change. I have a wife and two kids. For me, that would be a welcome change. I have to admit that right now most of the games that I do want to play on a next gen console pretty much are only gonna be on PS4. Plus, PSN doas allow non-game apps like Netflix on a standard PSN account, unlike Xbox Live having to have a Gold Membership for Netflix and other streaming apps.
to all the people who are saying "well since microsoft did this for him, he will be biased." do you know what Sony did for him? go check out some previous videos. there will be no bias.
I don't really like this idea; MS is just doing this to make some sells. I can't hate on them for that but they have no passion behind it. That what piss me off. People at sony was a fan of his and invited him and made sure he was taken care of as a guest and not as a walking ad.

SOny could've gave anyone the first ps4 to unbox and it would've still hit 1million+ view And really??? a PR team? that said; fuck those who don't have a internet? fuck off... Sony treated boogie as a guest in NY and he was able to see both CEO of sony and people that made the game. they treated him like a "Guest" not a TV AD. yeah the xbox1 will be good but i buy a console to play games on i dont buy for it entertain, im a gamer so im way for the ps4 because its for gamers !

Dominic Nolan And the xbox one did? BF4, Fifa 14, ACreed, Need for Speed, Ghosts, Killzone, Knack, Lego Marvel. That's a pretty good launch set tbh. Both consoles have good games. Only difference is do you want to pay extra to play them?
Few questions weighing on my mind teetering my decision.
1.How much of Microsoft's focus is on things other than gaming vs Ps4?
2.How set in stone is Microsoft's reversal of their DRM policies?
3.Which console is going to be more reliable/durable will they last 10 years?
4.Which company is going to have better selection in the coming years?
5.Will we see a major decline in new content in one or both of these consoles, throughout it's life cycle?
I have to say, after watching this, my respect for major Nelson shot up. This is great for a company to go to one of its biggest critics and just try to show him that they listened. Very nice to see a company reaching out on a very personal level. Yall need to take into account to, that Boogie is just an independent guy, like he said recording in his home, just telling the world what he thinks. Major Nelson went to him, when he really didn't need to, and tried to make amends. Very classy. And this is coming from someone who hated Microsoft as well after their reveal.
Man I've never liked Major Nelson, but now he seemed like a cool dude :) And Boogies reaction towards the X1 made me change my opinion. I'm still getting the PS4 thou' but I'm not hatin' on the X1 anymore :)
