I know people hate these and I myself would much rather play a "real" level then this but I gotta say that my brain simply can't comprehend how people make this shit. This is one of the most creative things I've ever seen in a game or remake of a game I guess you'd say. Very cool.
I agree. I'd rather play a real level, but anyone who can't appreciate the art in these levels is just wrong.
@@mwolkove It's just interesting in design and creativity. I built an auto course for fun and for experimenting with the mechanics but since you just watch it their's no feel of achievement clearing it on your owne. It's just so creative you have to give credit to the creators.

just break it down into small sections and it becomes alot easier to make one.
Yes they are creative but a lot of fans including myself want to actually play a game. Not watch a game play itself.
And some people don't realize it takes hours to make these.

I like the level where in the end just as Mario is going to get in the castle a spring pushes him into lava and there are laughing "effects".
The only problem with some auto levels is how people don't think of the ends, I've played a few and it is easy to skip parts due to being able to leap off moving platforms to reach the goal early for example.
People have stated their dislike of auto cources but I've Ben making several auto courses just cause I find crazy mechanics that actually work funny. I like to place dangerous items ike grinders just close enough and watch characters bounce away on a trampoline or something at the last second.
I love auto courses, but any that have forced death (like at 3:02) will NOT be getting a star from me. What if you come across this course on the last life of 100 mario?

I'm still working on these sort of courses. Got the consept of placing objects like music blocks and seeing where you go then placing more and keep going then adding some moving platforms to spice things up. Growing up on Luney toons I just love crazy mechsnics and incredibly silly physics that actually work.

The annoying sound effects ruined the aesthetics of a lot of these levels. Which is a shame because they're all incredible.

I built an automatic only consisting on mario riding a shell into note blocks, no crazy near misses, no enemies and no hazards, except falling. Automatics are way too overcomplicated in my opinion.

IAmSeamonkey By the way, you feel more pain falling. Once you hit the ground, your bones would probably either be broken, dislocated, or both. It's especially painful if you survive the fall, because you have to go through lots of things before you stop feeling lots of pain. First off, someone has to call 911 or get search and rescue to find you and take you to a hospital. Then, you'll have to wait for doctors to do their thing. AND you get put in a wheelchair. Now that's pain.
