    One of the most informative videos I've watched so far...I'm a total (Helicopter) beginner with much to learn and this one has been very helpful. Thanks

      Thank you. It was a struggle getting to this level of the hobby and I hope my content helps others. My best advice to you is work your way up in size…each level will teach and challenge you…if you want to advance faster, a simulator is the ticket…they each have their ups and downs😂…get one that’s readily available and go to town. If your meticulous with your maintenance and willing to work at it…it can be a great hobby. Thanks for checking out the channel!

    Very nice flight! Well Done going through your TX Settings and near the end going through your Expo Settings. The 470 is a great Heli.
    I have a TREX 450 Plus DFC & also a 150 DFC. BLADE 230S v1 and v2,
    GOBLIN 380 K.S.E. (Triblade) and a 570S DRAKE EDITION. I Love them all.

      Thank you, sounds like a nice fleet! There’s SO much room for tweaking in the setting, I share that info so maybe it can help folks use the FBL/remote to get the flight characteristics and remote setting that work for them. Thanks for tuning in!

      Thanks, I have a slow approach to flying them that doesn’t make for spectacular smack flying videos but my fleet is in great shape and I enjoy building and flying different settings. 12 years later and I’m still learning little details all the time. Thanks for tuning in!

    My BL50X esc died after just a dozen flights, not cool. I have the Hobbywing Platinum 60 now, such better throttle response. Enjoy that 470, one of the best heli’s made imo.

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I’d say same skill level...slightly more tedious being the parts are smaller. Have-good light, magnetic trays, TINY wrenches and of course loc-tite any metal on metal connections. Thanks for tuning in!

  • @PilotChris06FW
    @PilotChris06FW 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you reckoned this heli for a beginner just hovering and circuits. I wasn't something a decent size like a 500 but that's out of my budget. This 470 seems next best option. What do you think?

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d recommend the 300 to a beginner, I’ve been very happy with it…give it some time and flights…down the road do a 470 full build. Put time in on a sim, crush it with the 300…then move up. Thanks for tuning in!

    Quick question is the ikon2 better than the 7210beastX, a lot of heli pilots using the ikon fbl unit

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What sets the Ikon apart for me is the ease of programming and a few other things. They break the programming into simple to follow “basic” programming where you follow the numbers and there’s directions at each step…you enter you’re blade size and things are set-up for you, you can go into the “advanced” manu later and tune if you chose. The cord for the unit is a standard android based phone, no need to order something special and simple to replace. Easy automated update process. No real registration so the units can be edited with any computer with the software on it. In my opinion…definitely, significant easier to program and more user friendly. Thanks for tuning in!

      No difference except for setup. BeastX is a simple setup vs Ikon2 having to use a PC.

    I have been flying the little XK 123. Good little heli. Was thinking about the Align 450 artf? I found your video to be very informative. Once I make the purchase,I think your recommended settings would be quite fitting to a new guy like me. That small one is ok,just so small man.. Your thoughts?

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I worked my way up in size, micro/180/300/400/500/550/650, each size has new parts/features, I’d go for the OMP M2 at this point if I was you. It’s next level to the 123 and won’t break the bank when you overdue it. I would consider some sim action as well, can be nice to push your skills and then just hit the reset button. Thanks for tuning in!

      @@rcflightz2058 ,yes a few years ago I did do some Sim action. I had a blade 230s. Flew it for awhile,learned circles,hovering,etc. Just basic flying. Then lost it(ya went to high,lost orientation) never saw it again! Got discouraged,just getting back into it.lol

      @@toddnewhall5568 the M2 would be a big performance step up. Personally I think the smaller helis are great fun and good learning tools, did my first 3D on the Fusion 180. If you take your time with the 450RTF you’ll be fine or just start beating up an M2 :)

    • @rcflightz2058
