This scene alone cemented Helly as my favorite character. The look in her eyes when she says “Cobel, do I look like I’m fucking around right now?” Absolutely well done.
Ngl, considering how willing Helly was to cutting off her fingers, I have absolutely no idea why Helena thought making that video wouldn't just send her over the edge-
the video tape turned into something else when helly came back into her innie though, so the code detector could possibly tamper with videos that do go through
“I am a person. You are not. I make the decision. You do not. And if you (insert insubordinate behavior) ever again, I will make you live long enough to horribly regret it. Your resignation request is denied.”
I've never seen anyone say his but when I finished season 1 I thought it was clear that Helly"s Innie and Outie are switched...like her Innie is the actual her and her Outies is her work self...makes perfect sense.
That totally makes sense because I was thinking that her dad Egan the CEO is the same - switched he was so creepy and complacent and disdainful. That or he's a sociopath.
I think something similar. Helena is Helly after being raised in a Kier-worshipping cult. Her innie has her true, natural demeanor, divorced from her upbringing
I love the subtle hint where she looks at someone and says, “turn it off” indicating that she’s in charge and important.

They have the same underlying personality. Willful and believes in getting their way
@@HNCS2006 but they aren't going to have their way if they lose 4 fingers
Helly is one of my favorite television characters ever
Same I love her innie but despise her outie. Crazy a show can make you love but hate the same person because it’s 2 characters
Just realized this scene sets up that videos can get through the code detector. I wonder if that will come up again next season.
I think it was not a loophole, but an exception.
yeah but I dont think innies have the access to resources for taping things

could be-but isn’t it also possible that they just disabled it in this case, since they knew what she was bringing through?
I think it's just implied they can disable it at will.
Who else has been talked to by a boss like this in real life? Lol

It's so crazy rewatching the season realizing that this shows how privileged Helena is.

best tv scene ever :)
Seriously.
helena so brutal with her innie 😢
Seems like a plot hole that the door to the stairwell doesn’t have a message detection system
This situation has happened before, many times probably...
It’s just a system that alerts them, it doesn’t destroy the message. They know that’s going through they watched her make it
