Last week, I was returning to Samal after visiting the Bankerohan market. And while sailing on the ferry, I saw a flying kite over Babak. I understood that Boris was launching it for the neighbor's children) Thank you for the high-quality film! I've never been able to shoot like this.
Thank you Darlene for showing Bankerohan, i would love going there myself to buy the different fruits available. The Philippines is a blessed country. I love being there to live permanently.
Hi, my husband is also from Russia. He is from Nevinnomyssk Stavropol, it is a little near to Krasnodar, I think.. Currently we are living here in Davao City..
Thank You Darlene for making your interesting video. I like to see the Philippine culture. It was good to see filipino men working on the sewing machines. It is interesting to see what is sold and the prices in the local markets. I personally am not a fan of large modern shopping malls because of the much higher prices and you see the ssme large brand shops in different cities. My favourite in the markets is to buy fresh fruit like sweet yellow mangoes with sticky rice. Sweet Pineapples, Rambuteen (Lychees) and Mangosteen. Also sweet green & Red Grapes. My mouth is watering. I can hardly wait to come to the Philippines later this year for 30 to 59 days. Tks for you nice vlog and your excellent spoken English. Pls say hello to your Russian husband for me Roy in Scotland. Keep on making your province life videos. You have a lovely day. 😊😊😊❤
Hello Roy. Thank you for your kind words. We are glad that you are interested in our culture and our simple way of life. Thank you also for supporting our local markets and products🥰. May you have a wonderful time here in the Philippines.
Hi sir Boris and mam Darlene, Thank you for exploring Bangkerohan. You can buy lot of your budget. Keep on exploring more. Hoping you can do it frequently❤❤❤
I never seen a single fly at the Bankerohan market even in its meat and fish market area and also a single trash in the sea even it is in a big sea village... Davao never fails to amaze me...
Thanks for replying Darlene, I'm from Mindanao, North Cotabato. Magandang manirahan sa Davao mura ang mga bilihin i compare sa ibang lugar, God bless and protect you always and wishing you all the best❤
Patiently waiting for the next episode😊 Thanks darlene. I love ur voice . Ingat k u lagi bg hubby mo😘 Next time kwentuhan mo nmn kmi s mother ni hubby mo😊 hope she enjoy there😊.
Hello. I enjoyed watching your vlogs. Very interesting and at the same time you showed how you cope with way of life in a certain place. Keep it up. God bless.Watching from Temecula Ca.
I loved every content of your vlogs because it is very informative and inspiring. I often visited Davao City because i have relatives living there, but that was long time ago and the city is not yet as progressive as today. Hope your days will be happy and peaceful living in samal island. God bless guys.
Maayung gabii..hope to meet & greet u on aug in davao. Uuwi ako dyan for a short vacation sana magkita tau for a lunch or dinner☺️👋 kung ok lang sa inyo?!
Seeing the simple life of Samal brings me back to 1970s, though I am not a Senior yet. It brings me back nostalgic memories that are so good to remember though I haven't living there for it is a common sight among Filipinos to see less populated people in the market. Less people selling meat and bananas. And men sewing on shabby shops and segregating charcoals. It made me so humble seeing a simple life not far away from the past.
HISTORY: The place Bankerohan is the stronghold of the Davao Kingdom ruled by Datu Bago until the spanish conquered Davao on April 1842... Davao Kingdom is the last territory in the Philippines to be placed under the spanish rule which ended december 1898.
Great vlog, very interesting and photography is so clear. What an abundance of exotic fruits. Thank you for sharing your journey. I love your channel. ❤

You can apply in one of many universities in Davao city which is just 10 minutes away from Samal... We have USEP a government University and they are constantly hiring professors but you can try other schools like Ateneo
You both make a great team creating, shooting, narrating, and editing your videos. Reason why I subscribed, in the first place. Keep it up. You're doing fine.
Only in Davao region, mindanao you can experience the abundance of cheap, different variety of fruits and vegies. while here in the mega manila the price is 4 or 6 fold.
Oh my goodness! I couldn't believe at first there is a new vlog!!! So exciting! 🤩😍 Loved this episode showing the market. I can almost smell the sugary sweetness of all those fruits! Even I have not seen or tasted a marang before. It looks like a mini round jackfruit on the outside. It's always interesting to see the prices. 30 pesos/kilo for avocado? Wow! Here in season, the small ones can be as low as $0.50 and when not in season $2.50 EACH!!! Guyabano is even more expensive - $6.99/lb in my town. It's not something I can afford to splurge on because Ribe eye steak is also $6.99/lb on sale! 😅🤣. What a great cliffhanger to announce you are moving again. I'm curious how long your stay was in Samal before you moved on. I hope it will be mentioned in the next vlog. Thank you Boris and Darlene! Hope we get to see Mama Katya in the next episode. I miss seeing her even for a brief cameo. 😁❤
One of my favorite place there also is the boulevard night market,i don't know if I am right with the name, but that is near near the people's park,if you will have a freetime, try visit it also,I know you will like it too
