Very nice video Marshall ! 👍Happy to see you promoting Davao. One thing you would notice there is the discipline. The peace and order in Davao is sacred compare to Manila or Cebu. Cleanliness and orderliness is must in Davao. 1.) Curfew for minors from 10pm to 5am. 2.) No Karaoke/Videoke after 12 midnight. 3.) Firecracker ban 4.) No smoking in public places. 5.) No drinking liquor in public places / Liquor ban. 6.) Shirtless or half-naked is prohibited in public places. And many more city ordinances. No disrespect to Japan and Singapore but Davao is not far when it comes to DISCIPLINE. The law (peace) and order in Davao City is implemented very strictly. Credit to the DUTERTEs. By the way, the only airport that any military or police can take a rest and get some free snack and coffee/drink is in Davao City airport. It's called 'Heroes Lounge'. Credit to then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte. When PRRD became the 16th President he doubled the salary of the men in uniform (AFP, PNP, PCG, BUCOR, BFP, BJMP). Also the only city in the entire Philippines that has it's own task force to counter terrorism is Davao City, it's called 'Task Force Davao' .Plus they have 911 for emergency. 👊❤🙏
Indeed, DAVAO CITY is The Best Place To Live. I'm retired from Toronto living here in Davao City for about 3yrs now & still loving it. I lived around DAMOSA area very close to Samal Island - The Virgin Island.
Balik Bukid Farm and Kitchen is located about 200 meters behind your hotel at Sandawa Park, just across Quimpo Boulevard. It's, in my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Davao. It's a farm-to-table restaurant that uses organic ingredients from small-scale farmers in the region. They also offer live cultural-themed entertainment most evenings. The food is great, and the prices are reasonable; it's a unique and enjoyable experience that shouldn't be missed while you're in Davao.
Thanks so much. Just landed in Cebu City, now retired. Heading to Davao in November is the plan so your video is very helpful. You have such a distinct "African" accent. Lol. I am Canadian and as such I have no accent. I loved the CDO area when I visited in June. Cam
Love your videos, Heading to Davao in November for the 4th time, very excited. just started my own TH-cam channel - Callan's Calling mostly about me going to watch the Cowboys play and my interactions with other fans. This will be my first not football related vlog. any tips would be appreciated. when are you going back to The Philippines, salamat kaayo, Amping.
I was in this Casa leticia hotel in 2022. Really good. My room also was on this side, 2nd or 3rd floor can't remeber. But it was mirrored. It's so cool to see this. It's like being there again. 2023 I was in the Red Dorz in poblacion because I wanted to be in the city center. But I went there one tiime to eat breakfast there and to say hi to the nice staff there again.
If you want to relocate to davao city and buy a house and lot, i recommend to get some info about Granvel subd located at catalunan pequeno. This subdivision is accessible to schools and colleges. Theres San Pedro college high school, holy child college and also phil science high school and holy cross high school. CATALUNAN PEQUENO IS ADJUCENT TO MINTAL WHERE VISTA MALL NCCC GROCERIES AND DEPT STORE. NO TRAFFIC COZ WE HAVE 6 LANES HIGHWAY. WE LIVED IN A SUBD NEAR GRANVEL SUBD A NEWLY OPENED GATED SUBD.
Check out the province of Bukidnon once you've settled in Davao City, Marshall. There are comfortable buses or even vans that ply the route from Davao City to Malaybalay City, Bukidnon's capital. The province is wholly mountainous with spectacular views. Used to live there for almost a decade and I can never forget I've seen. Davao has Mt. Apo, the country's highest peak, while Bukidnon has Mt. Dulang Dulang, which is the second highest, situated in the Kitanglad Range.
I can see Mt Apo from my hotel window and it's spectacular. I will get there, just busy doing some quite involved vlogs at the mo. Thanks for the tips and the info mate.
Sir Marshall i suggest you go to the famous Eden Nature Park while you are there at Davao city and est varous kinds of Durian products like Durian ice cream Durian cake and Durian coffee ☕️
You should get down and dirty with your own Adventure bike and traveling about on your own. Meet up with people here and there during your travels. 😁👏👏
Davao is more safe, cleaner, cheaper than Manila. So yeah that's a good place to live. It has many malls, too to choose where you want to buy stuffs. Or, if you want more cheaper. Then i suggest Koronadal City.
I could of bought damn near half of Samal Island 20 years ago. (My wifes family property). But there's no way in hell I'm living in that climate. There's nothing to do but drink beer all day. I met my wife walking down the street in Davao in 1998 and married her there 6 months later. I haven't, or want to go back.
Hello I am planning to come to Davao City Nov 1 and I am looking for a short term condo rental, preferably in this area, which I think is called Bucana. It needs to have a pool and good AC. Thanks Cam from Canada

Safe? 7 bombings in the last 20 years says that is a lie. Last bombing was 2016 at the night market, Killed like 20 and injured 70 people. You must not know what the word safe means.

Good choice in making Davao as youre base to settle. Try checking apartments in Lanang Area.
I’m planning to retire in Davao City! Did you visit Tagum City? Tagum is a nice small-big city! 👍

Meet Kumander D again and explore what Davao has to offer. He speaks Bisaya fluently and knows the area well.
Good restaurant; can't beat the PhP75 price on that brunch! Stay safe, Marshall!
Davao does have a coffee scene for sure. Your featured coffee shop is about 7 minutes from where we live.

Not a bad deal. Another $200. For utilities, that works for me.
Roughly $15 USD per day for the hotel - that's a respectable deal 👍
