  • How to care for Altum Angelfish (Pterophyllum Altum)
In this video, I go over some of the basic things that can help you care for Altum Angelfish. The Altum Angelfish is considered to be a pretty difficult fish to care for especially if they are wild caught from the Amazon. I am no expert in keeping a Altum Angelfish but I have managed to keep mine alive for almost 2 years. Make sure you feed them well and keep water parameters in good condition.
If I missed out on anything, please let me know in the comments section below.

Great video Ryo, thank you. I've always wanted to keep Altums, but I rarely see them for sale and when I have, very expensive!! Where did you get yours?

A recent post from the Ohio fish rescue people of an Altum Angel in a public aquarium showed the very large size and glorious impression these fish make. I'm keeping my Scalares..grew them from dime sized and now a happy 4" breeding pair in a 240 gallon. But one day..lol...

SO Amazing, Is it fine to keep Wild Altums if my Nitrate level at 10ppm? And overall are they difficult to keep?
