Celebrating Yom Teruah with 7 shofars at the dawning of a new day.

- This clip is the sounding of 7 shofars at daybreak on the 3rd morning of the Jewish feast Yom Teruah.
For this year Yom Teruah begins October 29th at sundown provided that there is a viewing of the new moon marking the beginning of Yom Teruah or The Feast of Trumpets. It occurs six cycles of the new moon which is 6 months after Pesach on the first day of the seventh month in the Biblical calendar. Here are 3 key verses from The Tanakh regarding the first fall festival.
"Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing [teruah] of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD.'" Leviticus 23:24-25
Blowing the Shofar on Yom Teruah is the only specific commandment in Scripture for the holiday.

And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

Theres something very soul-stirring about the sound of a shofar. This is no ordinary instrument.
and the book of Revelations it speaks about the trumpets. Yes the Lord had them blow the shofar for various reasons throughout scripture. The last trumpet is going to be so powerful as that will mean Jesus Christ is now part of the kingdom as he comes in the clouds and victory on his white horse

Last night I finally learned how to play the shofar and I can't explain the emotions I felt, it draws you closer to God and brings His presence. After many sleepless nights filled with spiritual attacks, I slept peacefully after playing it.

It does stir up the spirit. The trumpet should also provoke us to good works and to reverence God. A healthy fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. In heaven or more precisely when we are face to face with Jesus we will simultaneously hear new sounds and be receiving an uninterupted flow of The Fathers knowledge and attributes.

I heard the Trumpet going off last year it was so loud and all I could do is just lay on my back in bed. And look up ontill it was over in my spirit i know it was the Lord. At 12:30 at night in feb. And that same night at 12:45 or 1:45AM. i went to the bathroom and i stared hearing all kinds of bells ringing. It was loud i said to myself am i going crazy. This year I am preparing now to have a greater reverence towards my Father and to walk more in accordance to all that He directs me to do. I will shout aloud with the sound of the shofar that He be exalted so that Jesus would be glorified. It is His coronation for He is The King of kings and the conquering Lion of Judah. The sound of the shofar is a call to consider YHWH in all of His ways. He created the heavens and the earth. He placed us in a lineage that includes our earthly father. Now Imagine that this is the day that the earth was created. Who am I that I may be able to partake in His goodness and mercy? This is the day of resurrection. Resurrection for us is only available through Messiah and through the shed blood of the lamb. This is the day that Israel is gathered. He is coming (for the 1st time according to my Jewish friends) again to Judge Righteously. What things have I done and/or said that do not line up with His will for me? How can we walk out our faith in Messiah in this coming year that is greater than we have thus far? What will we do differently in order that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh but instead be led of The Holy Spirit? Are there any areas where we present ourselves publicly one way but when we are alone we are different? For if we are saved, should we not honor our Father in all ways consistently? During these 10 days it is an excellent time to reach out to your father if he is still with you and to share with him gratitude and also what you are finding to be good and true in The Kingdom of God.
May this feast and these 10 days be days filled with awe, newness, growth, repentence, peace and Joy through a profound resurrection of Love for your Heavenly Father and those who are around you. May this be a year where your election and calling are sure, whereby there is oil in your lamp and you shall not be moved from the unfailing guidance and protection found exclusively in Jesus Christ.
