That's not how it works. My eyes capture the light from a lamp, does that mean they're extremely bright and colourful to others? UV and infared are just types of light that we can't see, they don't have magical properties.

They look for "soft eyes" (partially closing) to indicate comfort and friendliness, the lack of it makes them think "oh snap this thing is ready to pounce on me at any second"

This is why cats are obsessed with small containers and boxes. They’re trying to figure out how the people on TV do it and how you got inside your camera. It’s just the most perplexing thing we present them with.
I used to have a cat that would try to rescue me whenever I was having a shower. She hated water, but she would get wet trying to save me. I started shutting the bathroom door to stop her doing that. And she would meow and meow. She was my best friend.
We had a similar experience with our golden retriever when she was a puppy. We went on vacation and left her with some friends. We video called the friends one night and said hi to Daisy, she had a very similar expression and started barking and whining at our friend’s phone. She was so concerned that she could see and hear us but we seemed to be trapped in a tiny box! None of us have laughed that hard since! 😂🤣
