My sister's cat acts like that with me. The very first day I met him he was begging me for attention. If I let him on my lap it's very hard to get him off. I can't even push him off. He is annoyingly friendly. He wanted to sleep with me but I couldn't do it. He kept giving me love bites and I had to kick him out as heartbreaking as it is I need my sleep.
That's cos we don't choose them, they choose us, that cat has a good life and he's loved, I'd love to take my cat to work.
Cats don't make these decisions lightly - they really do know who we are.
They know who they can trust, and who'll let them be themselves.

We had a cat at work called Tripod, 3 legged, I work in a train depot, he was with us for about 14 years, sadly he passed away last year, he would get on the trains or jump in contractors vehicles and get up to all sorts of mischief. One very special cat that is very much missed by all the staff at the depot.

@@RedRoseSeptember22 Thank you, I am sure he will, he has a memorial plaque on the wall where he used to sit and his ashes were buried under his favorite bush and his picture is also on the wall in the mess room. His forever home.

Cats can & do behave with love & affection with people but it takes them a little longer; I think they’re not as trusting as dogs are. But I hope you & Buster have many more years together . True! I think it’s also that dogs usually show their love in a more noticeable and obvious way, while most cats are a lot more subtle and reserved. If you don’t know what to look for, you might not realise what they’re communicating to you, or you misunderstand it. I mean, just slowly blinking at a person is a way to show their love, that’s very far from obvious unless you know to look out for it. 😂
I guess you can say that dogs are generally extroverts while cats are generally introverts.

I’m a vet nurse, and we once had an office cat with a similar attitude. One day the printer stopped working. The guy that showed up to fix it came to us baffled, with handfuls of teeny tiny clear plastic cups.
Printer repair guy: What ARE these things?
Us: Lab sample cups. What are you doing with them? Can you fix our printer?
Printer Repair Guy: Your printer is chock full of lab sample cups. They’re everywhere in there!
All eyes turn toward our office cat, with a known affinity for batting around the empty sample cups. Cats. 😂
My dealership has a cat which lives next door but spends the day in the showroom, meeting and greeting customers. When I saw how special the cat was to the business I decided that was where I was going to buy my new car. I love seeing him when I get my services.

This is so true. Even though having pets is a bit of an extra expense, they’re worth every cent. Because they make you laugh so often and cheer you up when you’re down, and because they love you just the way you are, they are healing you without you even noticing. They’re very therapeutic, I think there are even studies to prove that animals have a positive effect on people.
They say money can’t but you happiness, but it CAN buy you kibbles and thus the opportunity to keep a pet around, which will eventually lead to happiness:)

@@drawnsequence I’m sorry for your loss. That is particularly traumatic for you, I’m sure. True, the pain of losing one is hard, especially if you think you somehow are responsible. But the joy of sharing your life with one of these “people with fur” is so great, it is worth taking the risk again. If you are not ready for that, thousands of animals are in need of fostering temporarily, or even just helping to socialize them to increase the chance of a forever home. Could be a win-win.

I would freak out to leave this cat behind. I’m in California with coyotes roaming city streets looking for food. A coyote killed my moms 15 year old cat in her yard and I’ve seen them in her yard as well.

I believe Buster inside the garage and not free roaming the junkyard. The one thing the owner could try is take Buster at home every night after he closes the junkyard. He tried to make Buster live at his home full-time, which was a mistake. Hee should experiment with Buster being at his day job and coming home at nights. The next morning take him to work. I think that would be a suitable solution.
It's almost the same as my little cat Murphy. Showed up one evening and stayed for 9 years with me. In three weeks it shall be a year since we had to say goodbye. Keep pushing on Buster and remember that you are in charge hahaha 😊❤😊❤😊

Oh absolutely. I watched another video about Buster on a different channel & apparently the guy attempted to make Buster a “house cat” but he started getting really depressed after a few days. He only likes it temporarily, which is why he only takes him on the weekends lol

I just realized that my hands down favorite part of this video is the conversations between the junkyard owner and Buster.
The same thing happened with my dad. He’s the general manager for a bouncy house company and they have a giant warehouse area to store them and randomly a stray kinda just showed up and hung out watching the employees eventually we caught him and brought him to the vet, no tags no record or anything but perfectly healthy. My dad adopted him and takes him home and brings him to work every day and he just runs around and observers the employees. We’ve had him for about 8 years now

I think every place of work should have an office cat, I'd go in everyday just to see my little buddy. The cat gets lots of attention, and generally would make everyone feel just a little bit better.

I used to have a similar cat. Our backdoor was open, he just went inside and lay down on the couch. That's how we suddenly had 2 cats instead of 1. We checked and he was chipped, and after a few weeks the owners came by to pick him up. They took him with them, and kept him inside for a few weeks. After these weeks they let him go outside again and he straight up walked back to us. He has lived with us from that point until he passed
It’s wonderful that he has his own domain most of the time but gets to spend weekends with other cats. Utterly adorable.
He said, ‘It’s a relationship that you don’t usually get to have with a cat,’ but he was still going to give Buster and his siblings a home expecting nothing in return. Now that was just an awesome thing to see. This makes me happy. Thank you for sharing!

Guy I knew ran a repair shop; he left his dog there because the dog didn't seem happy at his house. But the dog was a greeter, had a bed in the shop, and he would wander the parking lot to get pets from passers-by. He and his predecessor were local celebs.
He is the best supervisor you will ever have, checking out all the instruments, backyard, front yard to make sure everything is in tiptop condition!!
