Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! I did mention it would take me a while but I finally got the first part of the extended version of this springs trip up! I planned on having this live last Sunday, but for those of you that didn't see my pinned comment on last weeks video, I had some PC issues and couldn't finish editing. In fact, I was up until 5 AM this morning trying to get this video to render. I don't often get angry, but I will be honest, I was yelling at my computer when the render of this video failed 5 times in a row over 5 hours in each time. I lowered some quality settings slightly and it finally worked this morning just in time to upload for 10 am. I am hoping to get the next two parts out in the next two Wednesdays! I know it has been a little slow here with new content but things are going to start picking up here again! I should be getting out this week with da boys, then with Funk and Capt. Teeny Trout! Then after that I got a few big adventures planned! Until then, hope you guys enjoy the extended version of this Springs trip!
A lot of your fans are people whom are bed ridden or live in chronic pain or some sort of suffering, once they find you and Monty they notice their lives become a bit more cheerful and they start to smile and laugh more. My franny and Zooey cats are draped over me, I am on my side, so I can't tell when they watch, as opposed to listening, but they are tuned in, either way. Many thanks, from hot as heck Georgia, I used to take my doggo everywhere with me- he was quite the adventurous soul- and I miss him very much. Your videos remind me of his 'help' fetching water, warning me of feral hog root- tracks, and how he used to enjoy our air mattress, though I always wound up between it and the wall of the tent, to a very happy pupster, sprawled out tummy up, occupying the whole thing. He actually helped me run his zip lines, by pulling them tight- but I only left him on it while I was fishing, because he scared off the fish.
I’ve been watching your videos since around before the Pandemic started last year. I lost my job and was stressed 24/7 about that and the situation at large in general. Your videos always calmed me and helped me smile and laugh whenever I was upset. I recently got food poisoning and was the sickest I’ve ever been in a few years. I watched your videos and they helped me relax and smile. Thank you so much Mr Posa for making these videos!! Because of you I was able to relax and calm down in hard times and I’ve also made the leap into camping the past year and have been enjoying it so much. Take care, and know I’ve got Mr Monty in my prayers for a full recovery. ❤️

Matt - thank you so much for the peace and joy you bring into my day. After a very long, typically 10 hour day teaching high schoolers the joy of math, I get to unwind with you and Monty paddling on the lakes, fishing, cooking delicious food and sitting by the campfire! I’m also grateful I can do all that without getting bit by all the bugs! Question: Do you ever run into others while our on your adventures? The places you go seem like they are used by many outdoor enthusiasts, but I rarely see signs of others out there in your videos.
OK so thanks to your wonderful outlook and inspirational videos I am the proud new owner of a 2 man kayak. OK so it's inflatable but it has excellent reviews and will be ideal for simply getting out on the waterways. I'm only sharing this because I have only just started getting out properly due to depression and anxiety. It's such a big deal to me. Thanku matty and monty!! ❤❤❤much love to u from UK.

He does doesn't he, just a sign of a guy that knows how to have fun in the woods. my friend when it comes to Winter camping it is nothing but work hard work and then you can have fun, if you learn anything from Matt and this channel know that winter camping is a lot of work and to get it done and out of the way then you can have your fun. But summer camping is mostly just fun.
He does! You're being smart. That's how I found out the waterproof tent I had sucked in heavy rain. The adventures are much more fun when you're prepared, or at least feel like you are. One of the best lessons I've learned from Matt, is relax and adapt, cause sometimes things just don't turn out the way you plan... That's the extra fun part of the adventure. Matt's best words of wisdom. Everything is like salt!!!
I took out some new gear this weekend, (underquilt for my hammock) and once there, realized that I never tested it ahead of time. Thought to myself, "well, that was pretty dumb." Fortunately, no issues encountered. Practice in the back yard first is smart. Let's you go into the house for anything forgotten. Good to make a gear list (or lists, if multi-seasonal) to check that you have all you need. I always lay out everything before packing, broken down into categories. (shelter and sleep components, cooking and food, clothing, and finally, personal effects/emergency gear)
They're American, I wish they were Canadian, so they would do more adventures in the Canadian wild with people like the wooded beardman, love to see more collabs.

Love this channel ❤💕 I always snap along😊 I haven't fished so far this summer, but I normally fish off the bank with my son at a small lake that is a mile from my house. We love brim and will usually do a fish fry if we get enough. It's been so hot here in Georgia so we haven't been. Hopefully really soon. I absolutely love watching your videos and Monty reminds me so much of my Luna (German Shepherd).

Absolutely my and the fam’s favorite YT channel!!! Monty is sooo special, and we adore him but don’t count the Roogs out. His breed makes him hyper active but also extremely trainable. The more he goes with, the better he will be at settling. One teeny tiny suggestion, don’t claim you “broke your favorite rod,” unless you’re in the hospital, lol! Absolutely my and the fam’s favorite YT channel!!! Monty is sooo special, and we adore him but don’t count the Roogs out. His breed makes him hyper active but also extremely trainable. The more he goes with, the better he will be at settling. One teeny tiny suggestion, don’t claim you “broke your favorite rod,” unless you’re in the hospital, lol! Love your humor and the adventures; please, keep them coming!! 👍💯👍

Thanks Matt. Love your work. Did I tell you that in Aldi grocery stores in Australia we have weekly specials sometimes culture based. We had an America week and I found MONTREAL STEAK SEASONING!! I love it! Have it on everything! Even eggs. Not so good on baked beans though. Thanks for the heads up. Deb from Oz.

By the way, just so you know, I have my 85 year old Dad watching you now and he loves it! He used to love camping and was for years a scout master. He misses it so much and is not able to do it anymore. He has a great love for dogs too 😀. He’s reliving his camping days through you 🥰
