Matt, Good to see you feeling good and back out having fun! So with your stove you don't have to use all those pipes. If you use all the pipes it goes from 4" to 4 3/4" and then back down to 4". The bulge that creates is more useful in Tipi style tents where more of the pipes are inside your tent. The bulge the pipe design creates would give off more heat because you have more pipe surface area exposed. Here is the best setup if I had to recommend one. The first pipe that you put on has the small slit in it where you put the slide in and out damper into it. It's a very simple design. Since you won't need all the pipes for your tent you only need to use certain pipes. Look on the pipes for the numbers written on them in black marker. Pipes #1 and #2 you always will use. If I remember correctly, you can switch pipes #3 and #4 with pipes #5 and #6 instead. This will also result in less of a "bulge" in the overall pipe structure. After that you add on I believe pipes #7 and #8 topped off with the spark arrester. All the rest of the pipes and the pass through sleeve you can leave behind at home and save from having to carry more weight. If you have any questions please contact me in the email address I sent you. I am hoping to get it where you can take less pipes with you because you don't need them all. So your 4 Dog Titanium Ultralight II stove's firebox size is 11"x11"x22" (same size roughly as the Kni-co Alaskan stove). Your new Kni-co (Packer model) that you have to burn in is 23" long, but the actual firebox size according the Kni-co website is 9.5"x8.5"x21". You should be able to cut your wood the same length for both. Did you see the cable and brush I sent you as well to use to clean your pipes with?
Thanks again! I definitely am digging the new stove. I actually figured that out when I was unpacking the stove after this trip. I am releasing a video today that uses less stove pipe pieces! I do have the brush and will use it at home for storage, usually just hitting the pipes together cleans anything out if they get too clogged up!
You've got a good grasp on what people like to see in a bushcrafting video, and dogs well trained and treated are one, delicious recipes, and just making what to many is an ordeal into a relaxing time in the freezing woods and a cozy hot tent. 👍

I think when we don’t see the video on Sunday we panic that something is wrong ! We love you guys! 😘
Stay safe and warm bro! Looks like a blast!
You've got a good grasp on what people like to see in a bushcrafting video, and dogs well trained and treated are one, delicious recipes, and just making what to many is an ordeal into a relaxing time in the freezing woods and a cozy hot tent. 👍
