I guess nobody saw Myers park the tow truck across the street also bad direction at the gas station they were trying to do the shot if jock looking down at Myers then cut back to jlc then cut back Myers gone from the first film film but this was done poorly stupid director having close up of cupboards duh
I think you misunderstood the scene with the Reverend. He likely knows nothing about Michael Myers. When he says he's hunting evil, he just means The Devil. The scene is about Loomis realizing that his struggle against Myers won't end, and he's in a way looking into his own future. He will become a crazed old man on an unending quest, just like the Reverend.
@s.nifrum4580 I was wondering the same thing. For all they know Jamie and Michael could be close and the next thing those snots know he'll be the last thing they see. Good lord these kids are dumb.
One thing i always liked about this film. was that when Loomis goes to the sheriff, they instantly believe him. There's none of the usual horror movie nonsense of him being ignored because he's "crazy"
Why does no one mention that Jamie's father is clearly Jimmy lloyd, the paramedic from part 2. Their last names are the same, Lloyd, and its pretty clear Laurie and Jimmy end up together after part 2. Especially if you see the TV ending where he wakes up in the ambulance with Laurie.
Ten years ago, on the night of October 31st, a small Midwestern town fell victim to an escaped nit-picker. Under the cover of darkness, he carried out the most horrifying mass nit-picking on record. Sixteen movies in cold blood. Ever since that night, no one has forgotten his name, and nit-picking has never been the same.
I love Halloween 4. George P Wilbur was great as Michael (the fourth best Michael Myers) Danielle Harris was adorable as Jamie and Donald Pleasence's Dr. Loomis was awesome! The only thing bad about H4 is the mask.
Michael Smith every Michael Myers mask worst to best 9-H5 mask 8-H20 mask 7-H2 2009 mask 6-H4 mask 5-HResurrection mask 4-H2 1981 mask 3-H6 mask 2-H2007 mask 1-H1978 mask
Decker they did make it clear that this was the same lyndsy “Did you know that your mother used to baby sit me when I was your age?” “I wish she did that for me” I guess Laurie took the responsibility after Annie died because let’s be honest even if Annie survived she wouldn’t have lasted very long under the employ of lyndseys parents
hey decker just wanted to let you know your humor has improved a lot, regularly there's one or two jokes on your videos that kinda fall flat or feel awkward but here I was laughing my ass off with every single one, the timing on the "THE DANCE FLOOR" joke and the delivery on the Myers killing dogs joke were fantastic!
Ending explained: Jamie held Michael's hand and it passed on some of the evil to her she killed her Foster mother going with John carpenters idea true evil never dies Jamie was like the next Tommy Jarvis
Decker the implication at the end, and the whole theme of the movie as a whole, is that evil is unstoppable. You can destroy it's personification (in this case michael) but it will find another host to replace it. In the end Michael was supposed to be dead finally but the evil had already gone to Jamie to start the cycle all over again. It was hinted in the conversation Loomis and the reverend had earlier that in the end their battle is eternal.
OK, but what evil? I mean there's no hint of some possessing entity anywhere else in any of the films so far, just Myers likes to kill folks. You kinda have to establish this sort of thing beforehand or it really is just Diabolus Ex Machina.
GriffinPilgrim i haven't watched the movies in a long time so my memory is kinda foggy. Also i may have worded my comment wrong. The impression i got from the first to the fourth movie is that Michael is the personification of evil and that that title can be passed on. Is not possession rather an instinct. One day he suddenly gets the urge to kill his family with seemingly no reason (or maybe a reason we wouldn't understand). And this movie expands upon that by saying "hey this evil instinct of his? It can be passed on." they don't specify that it is an entity but rather a nature. Evil needs a face, Michael was one and then passed it on to Jamie. (which was the original idea for the fifth movie until the studio shot that down.). At least that's what i saw in the movie. I may be looking too deep into it or misremembering something. But overall that's the impression i got from the movie.
I sorta see where you're coming from but it still doesn't work for me. Aside from his inexplicable near-invincibility Myers just gives the impression of simply being severely mentally ill from the get go. Jamie came across as a bit bratty at worst and even that's quite understandable given as she's a recently bereaved child. She also shows no violent tendencies until the end, even to Myers. She is simply terrified, as one would expect. Her suddenly becoming a killer at the end like someone flipped a switch in her brain to the "Evil" setting hit me as arbitrary. Just my take though, all respect to yours as well.
A really nice twist was that the police actually listened to the man and immediately took action. So many of these movies have police involved and they just do nothing. What was an interesting concept for the first Halloween had become a tired cliche by this point. And i am glad to see a police force actually preparing to hunt the villain because of a protagonists warning. Didn't change all that much in the end but you have to appreciate the gesture.
I think the implication at the end is that the little girl is so traumatized by the events that had already affected her so deeply that it essentially drove her insane and caused the insanity and illogical horror of Michael's reign to continue.
You know, if I were a school child, and I new that this little girl’s uncle was an unkillable mass murdering psychopath so terrifying that he is coequally known as The Boogeyman, bullying that girl is probably the *last* thing I would do.
22:24 thank you for that joke Decker I’m in a long ass car ride to the wedding of 2 people I don’t even know and this video is really helping me kill time
13:56, I actually do know what happened to Reverend Sayer. According to the Novelization, he decided to stay in Haddonfield to help out Loomis...unfortunately he ran straight into Micheal who proceeded to gouge his eyes out, leaving him raving on the ground like a lunatic before he was carried away in an Ambulance.
I know part 4 was essentially a remake of the original but it's still one of my top three Halloween films. I love the atmosphere, the music, Loomis and Danielle. I totally disagree with Mr. Shadow on this one but I love him (and his reviews) just the same. Cheers Decker, thanks for cheering me up on a rough day :)
21:13 "But *he* can hold *them* off with the boomstick." Is Myers a plural now? Also, Jamie grabbed Michael's hand just before he got shot to shit, so it's like the evil infected her or passed to her.
The camera man/cinematographer for Halloween 4 was Michael Lookingland AKA Bobby Brady from the Brady Bunch. The dead waitress at the gas station was portrayed by Lookingland's wife.
the little girl does not get enough credit for this film. she carried the entire movie, she did a really great job and had some emotional scenes, and i actually love the twist at the end, i thought something like that was going to happen when she held Michael’s hand but the horrified reactions from loomis and the rest of the adults. the movie was very mediocre but that is my favorite ending so far of the Halloween films and honestly one of my favorite endings for any of these classic horror films

Here's a stupid question you would think after the events of the second movie; to prevent idiots from getting killed in a panic they we put a ban on the William Shatner mask in Haddonfield? So why are they still selling it?
@@jeffreysund7614 There was no kidnappings or killing revolving clowns it was just a massive craze. But my condolences for the annoyances that Revenge of Michael Myers has in store for you, Decker.
Hey, Decker. Your content and videos are phenomenal! Could you make a compilation of The Tall Man song you started in your Phantasm review? Great stuff, man!
Hey decker I just finished watching the summer of Halloween it's not my first time watching it but I still laugh 😂😂 so much on your commentary !!! Fucken classic .
this is one of the best Halloween movies for me anyway. Its realy gets down to it that the actor Danielle Harris looks all most 100% like my own little sister in this movie and Donald Pleasence looks like my Grandpa haha wich made the hole emotional roller coaster that much better for me anyway :D
I've always liked Donald Pleasence. He was in this film I watched a lot as a kid with Michael Caine, Kidnapped. He plays the crazy uncle who tries to murder his nephew. It's a film Michael Caine dedicated one sentence for in one of his autobiographies and it was that he thought it was crap, lol. Butttt, I have fond memories of it. Has beautiful scenery, plenty of excellent actors and that stirring soundtrack. Check it out guys, Kidnapped 1971.

20:17 Does that candle seem EXTREMELY powerful, or is it just me?
19:38 Whenever you see a rocking chair in a horror movie, you know that something creepy and horrible is going to happen.
There's seven Halloween timelines and that's not counting 3.
Today is August 4th, 2020.
Happy 2 Year Anniversary to this review being posted.
this is one of the best Halloween movies for me anyway. Its realy gets down to it that the actor Danielle Harris looks all most 100% like my own little sister in this movie and Donald Pleasence looks like my Grandpa haha wich made the hole emotional roller coaster that much better for me anyway :D
The Best in the series. I love part 4 and 2 the most.
My biggest problem with this film is that Myers killings is more in keeping with Jason than the character we met in the first two films.
Most underrated movie reviewer
Easily the best outta of the sequels. Such a fun film and the kills and Michael are awesome!
The guy's name is pronounced like Bo (Beau Star) it's a southern name.
Kudos, dude, on another entertaining movie review. I loved how you scared your cat in your "Summer of Halloween!" intro. It would have been funnier if, before you closed the window, your cat give you a jump scare as payback!! 'Fraidy cat!!! Oh well (how deep?), keep up with your great reviews!! I'm thankful I have subscribed to your channel. You're entertaining incarnate!!!
That picture Jaimie is holding of her mom made me realize: Kevin Bacon is older than we realize!
