Ahhh I have MALS, had the same surgery, and it really does disapeer just like that. Literally my entire life I was going to the emergency room every two weeks due to pain and I got lucky ONE TIME with a doctor who had just done the surgery on another patient with MALS who happened to be there and I was fixed!
@@torischmidling8454 ah okay. I watched greys for awhile but stopped maybe before Christina had left so I knew that’s been a long time. But I’ve also been binge watching clips on YT for the past two weeks haha
I love bailey, but I realize that in the lastest season's she has been taking a lot of credit for Merideth's success. I get that she taught her most of what she knows but Merideth worked very hard for her success and does not deserve bailey constantly taking credit for it.
she was absolutely right in this case, everyone forgets that bailey did teach meredith and just bc mer won an award doesn't mean bailey is a less capable surgeon than she is
Wait. How have I not seen this episode? It's like I was watching myself of Greys. I don't have MALS. I have an array of other fun stuff but the short 'sandwich monologue' nearly had me sobbing.I have digestive tract paralysis (DTP) & gastroparesis. My first emptying study (the short version) I had to eat a radioactive hardboiled egg. This emptying test is only 45 mins (only testing the stomach not the rest of of my broke down guts 😂) Got stopped at 20 mins when the egg ended up on the tech's shoes. Had many doctors who would see results and not believe it. Repeating all kinds of tests with results all over the spectrum. So many people cry with fear or sadness when they are diagnosed. Being chronically ill for so long, while other people doubt you for so long.... Then, then you cry for relief. A name means so much to one who has been told for so long that its _nothing_ or _inconclusive_ or _not real_ A name means, a name.
Ik what u mean, I was sick for a year before I got my MALS diagnosed. It was a relief to just have a name and I think anyone that hasn't been through a similar experience wouldn't understand. My friends all kept saying "I hope its not that" and secretly I was hoping it was MALS so that I would have a name to the pain and a diagnosis and a cure. I hope you get better soon and there is some way to help you live ur life to the fullest.
I know how that lady feels. My ma has been going through a lot of pain with her back, legs, elbow and wrist. No one seems to have an answer. They always tell her nothing is wrong and she's fine. She then comes home and curls up on her bed and cries. Frustrates me cause I can't do anything but try and comfort her.
I hope she's doing better since your comment. If she's still having trouble, she should get checked out by a rheumatologist for an autoimmune workup, in addition to the other suggestions.
Jo gave zero F's she was like "ok be in pain"🤷♂️. And seeing Jo in dark blue scrubs is so great ( I wish Stephanie stayed around so she could have been in dark blue scrubs also) I remember when she was an intern scared to death of Meredith a.k.a Medusa 🤣.
Diagnosed couple weeks back. I just saw this right now. I never saw this show. But wow, that was hard to watch. I wish it was that easy. I took one year to figure out what was wrong with me. I have MALS surgery coming up March 7th. 2022. It will help but I have Gastroparesis as well so I’ll have to see what happens with that after the MALS surgery

I'm glad you were lucky to get correctly diagnosed. Living in constant pain is unbearable.
Bailey is like, “I formed Dr. Grey from scratch and mud.” Jo is like, “ Yeah! I helped Dr. Grey…once”.

Is Jo an attending now? I notice she has the dark scrubs.

True. Bailey raised Meredith
Lmao I trained her she was a lump a clay
I dont think Bailey taught Meredith Grey... she helped manage Meredith Grey's personal issues but mostly Mer learned from Derek and Cristina
What? Cristina was just an intern
No. Bailey is her mentor. Meredith is in general surgery like her.
