I’m actually doing the stocking and it’s fabulous and a miracle for me I am getting over a stroke from February 22 a relatively simple procedure in the hospital that went disastrously wrong medically wrong no-fault here or there but here I am and recovering with knitting with both hands etc. etc.

This year I've been able to keep up and thank you for the November window as it is a bit quieter to knit. And the last I knew you have come out with 10 books, not including e-pubs or leaflets for other Companies.

I'm enjoying making the stocking. It's such fun finding out a little bit more of how it will look every day. I wasn't able to get the green yarn in the pattern. But in any case this is a great way to use up some of my stash. So my stocking is made from a red Rowan yarn (leftover from a vest), a cone of double knitting wensleydale wool bought at a knitting and crochet event last year, and some 5 ply guernsey wool leftover from a turquoise green gansey. Happily they are all blending quite well. I will be trying to source some of the proper Rowan wool as I plan to make at least 3 more stockings when this is finished. 10 books from you ! I suppose childhood souvenirs shape the adult we become. The little Arne who liked that painting on that door became a nature and colors lover and we can see it through your creations. Thanks a lot for sharing the pattern. I made last year KAL. Started it on December 16th, finished end of January with stash yarn. Because it was big wool, it results in a big sock to fill with a lot of little gifts for this Christmas. So this year, I took a chance for my choice of colors and ordered yarn in September! I have exactly the right colors! I hope to begin it soon so it will be ready for Christmas.
What a wonderful episode this was. Love the grid pattern in the stocking and I really loved the story about doing good for someone in panic who needs some energy to keep going in their car, battery charge (or in my case, gasoline). You both enhance my life so much. Thank you for your 10 published books. Love my daily dollop of Arne and Carlos!
Finally getting started on my stocking! I was hosting a crank-in last week for 30 guests with vintage and new circular sock machines. Now time to catch up on my knitting! Also finished another hat from yarn and pattern that I bought during the cruise in Henningsvær! Love all 10 of your books. I even have a couple of them in Norwegian. 😊
Getting into a rhythm with this colorwork. My 16 inch circular needles fit perfectly so just going round and round. This will be TV knitting for later. Thanks for the pattern and tutorials! 10 books for the answer; I know my library has some .
I am working on the stocking, doing two lots, red / white & Green and also Blue / White and Silver. Enjoying the stranded colour work. So far the tension has remained even as I am using Arne’s technique of picking one colour and throwing the other. Thanks Gents for another successful knitting tip.
