    I've had a few of these over the last year. The heat levels tend to vary, some really are quite hot. Great value, sometimes just £2! A real tasty treat for the money and one of my favourite processed foods on my once a week bad food day. 🙂 Great review as ever.

    I had this quite a while ago. I enjoyed it. Was hot but not too hot, had some flavour too rather than just being all about spice. I remember them being about £1.79 though. But £2.25 is still decent value considering a rubbish one in a tin would be £1.60 or so. Worth having a look at Morrisons chilled ones when they're on offer.

    Nothing wrong with curry and chips.
    I personally love this curry and think it is great value for money.
    I just love watching your reactions when eating.
    I put Carolina reaper chilli flakes in mine, after it has cooked a bit/ defrosted.
    These supermarkets never make them spicy enough.

    • @Matt19matt19
      @Matt19matt19 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree supermarkets don't generally make them hot enough. I think it's because they want repeat sales lol. Rather than people just buying them once for a dare. Plus it will make people think they're boss for eating something that's supposedly very hot. Iceland branched out when it comes to the hot foods, they ran quite far with the Carolina reaper products. Some of them were awful though. I hated the sausages they did.

    3:03 Gareth here's a tip (on a tip)....pierce closer to the centre NOT the outsides mate. Holes closer to the middle draws the Hot air over the Centre before it escapes, if you pierce just the outsides the Middle stays frozen.

    Hello Gareth, thank you for uploading your video. I remember a couple of months ago the Iceland curries were £1.69, I used to buy them regularly and I enjoyed them. Everywhere you go these days food prices have shot up in price, we're now experiencing the biggest rip-off that the people of Britain have had to endure since the decimalisation of our currency in February 1971, I remember all the £/s/d prices were rounded up to the nearest decimal equivalent. They can't blame Brexit, Covid-19 and the war in the Ukraine for all these current price hikes, we're all doomed to choose between heating, eating or buying petrol. God preserve us.

      @BaldFoodieGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @davidmacgregor5193

      @@BaldFoodieGuy It's the same everywhere with the energy bills Gareth, when it get's colder instead of turning on the heating I just put on extra layers of clothing to keep warm. Hopefully we'll soon be getting warmer weather and we'll be using less gas and electricity for a few months.

    The chicken is very tender in that one, compared to the stringiness of the tinned variety and it used to cost £1.79 originally. The white wine vinegar really does come through. I also buy the Iceland low fat chips - not because I'm a health freak, but because the chips are chunkier.

    If you like extra heat, easy to do. Get Mr Naga pickle ebay (used by most Indian takeaways and restaurants ) one or two teaspoons 😋 lasts forever in the fridge. Just mix it into the sauce.

    I'm not sure if I could happily eat a vindaloo as I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to hot spices but thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜

    This range has gone up to £2-25 but I noticed this morning that you can buy 2 for £4, mix and match is allowed. I tried the Jalfrezi and it was spot on.

    We're talking about Iceland which is supposed to be a kind of budget shop and all their curries are better than all the other supermarkets, especially cooked in the oven. They are underrated.
