  • The old recipe needed more heat and a bit of lemon tang in order for it to be closer to a takeaway vindaloo, so let's see if Iceland have done just that...

    7oo10 isn’t bad, thanks for reviewing. As someone commented below it’s great freezer food. Some observations… there’s no potato? the chicken and sauce are prepared separately, you interchange the words tray and carton very nicely and at 1:32 you throw in the word tray in a comedy accent, I liked that.

    • @Papparoni
      @Papparoni  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Spye, I have mentioned the lack of potato on other vindaloos that I have reviewed as I though it to be curious myself. Did a bit of research and the potato is a later addition, so meat vindaloos are acceptable, apparently.
      Also, the way I say 'tray' is me paying homage to the almighty SteveMRE1989, as this is the way he says it!

    I'm no Star Wars fan Pap, but I could see the storm trooper peering out of the curry straight away too! And to say 'new improved recipe' on the box when all they've done is make it a tad hotter isn't really good enough from them Pappa, sounds like they need to get back round that head table and discuss adding the lemon zing to it that you suggested!

    • @Papparoni

    Missing the lemon tang thats a shame, I'm thinking this might be too tomatoey of a taste for me, but saying that maybe I could squirt some lemon in the dish! I see storm tropper was enjoying himself having a frolicking in the tomato River bed ...

    Another great review, Papps. Just a little question......When you show the microwaving coming to an end, before the opening ceremony, is that 'stock footage' from the Papps video library? Or fresh every time?

    Had one of these last weekend. So wanted to enjoy it but was just to hot for me. Yeah I get the clue is in the name but lots of folks said it’s quite mild for a vindaloo which no doubt it is but still over my threshold. I ate about a quarter of it and whilst I loved the taste I just had to bin it.
