  • Hi my muddy people!!! Lots of big pieces in here including another flower plate and skull platter!
I’ve been madly throwing and getting right into hand building and making canister and honey pot as I have 4 markets this month!!! Let’s face it we are all ramping up for Christmas too!
So many of you watched the LIVE (during and on the replay) and you gave Tracey and I such encouraging words letting me know you enjoy my videos and tips so there is another live coming next weekend! Stay tuned! Your kind words help motivate me to keep bringing you all my content!
For those of you that are more experienced, feel free to fast forward to the parts you are interested in. I don’t like to speed things up in my throwing videos as it can be confusing to young potters. I love our growing pottery family so much, it's a great community and we are all here for different reasons...and sometimes we just wanna chat with one another!
From all of my other videos, whether a livestream or an edited version I've been getting to know some of you very well from the comments and interaction...and I LOVE IT!!! I look forward to the day I win lotto and can do my world pottery tour and meet you all, how fun would that be!?! This pottery community has the BEST people, so don't be shy, say hi and join in the chat with the other potters from around the world during the LIVESTREAM or add comments on my videos. I love reading and replying to your comments!
I do my best to answer EVERY question that comes my way! Sometimes it takes me a few days especially with time differences, but I really do try to connect! If I don't have an answer, someone else in this community will! I've learned so much from so many of you!...Thank YOU!
If you are new to my channel, I post a variety of POTTERY VIDEOS; How To…Throw, Organize Home Studio, Trim, add Details etc. and I share other vital studio essentials from Tools, my Favourite Tools etc! I love sharing what I’m doing in my HOME POTTERY STUDIO. Yep, I work out of my basement pottery studio, throwing on Stevie the Wonder wheel, and my ceramic KILN aka Freddy Mercury, is in my garage.
Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! It’s FREE and who doesn't like FREE! No really, by subscribing you will be notified of all of my uploads and livestreams , not to mention it helps small channels like mine grow! If you’ve already subscribed, YOU ARE A LEGEND!! Thank you! 😘
Sit back, and I hope you LOVE this video! 😘

Great kiln opening as always, and what fab combos on the mugs! I like the flower platter - that must have taken so long to glaze! You have a lot of patience.

Your flower platter is lovely, it reminds me of my sweet grandmother. She LOVED yellow, orange and green. Very 70’s vibe. If I was local, I’d buy it. Seriously, it’s beautiful and it stirred my heart which is what art is supposed to do. 😊 And that sugar skull is FABULOUS.

OH WOW, the amount of detailed painting on those pieces is just amazing. They are beautiful! Sometimes, when a piece turns out too bright for me, I I'll use 1 or 2x a darker celadon....like maybe your rainforest.
That blue gloss with celadon bloom, wow! Beautiful P Turq and T Mul. Thanks Drippy Sista!❤

I like your platter, I think it has a real retro vibe to it. How stunning is Celadon Bloom! One of my fave glazes lately. Wow, that last mug, gorgeous!
I'd love to watch your other vid now, but I've just spent 12 hours glazing today and I think I am ready for bed. I'll have to put it on my to watch list for tomorrow night 😊

I love the first bowl!! To center your hump on a mold place your slab on a board, put the hump on the slab by looking at it from above being sure to center it, then hold onto the mold, flip the board over and then pull the slab off the board, it may stick, onto the mold. Does that make sense? Ooh and the platter is soo cool with the handles like that!! Someone will love the colors!! They look very vintage! I absolutely love the blue gloss with the celadon bloom!! Gorgeous! Oh wow that textured mulberrrry!! Now I NEED THAT ONE!! Great kiln load ladies. ❤❤ The fridge for storage. I’ve seen so many people do this.

Oh Thankyou Michele yes that make perfect sense! What about for putting it inside a bowl or is this harder to centre? Textured mulberry is stunning! I love the fleck in it.

@ When putting it inside a slump mold place the top of the slab onto a piece of plastic wrap and then you cal flip it over onto the mold and position it from looking on the underside. I try and put the mold up on a tall banding wheel so I can see underneath. I very rarely use slump molds since it’s so hard. I also don’t like having to squish the slab into things. I’d much rather drape it.
