Hey, I would like to change the mmedia play/pause button switch from play(triangle) to pause(2 bars) and vice versa, the problem with spotify_playing variable it automatically varies but not with a user variable, kindly say how to do it

Hi - I really like Macro Deck. I wondered if there was a way to use a variable in a windows command. In my case I am controlling my home automation system using cURL so I am using a windows command line to execute the cURL statement and wish to include a variable as a parameter.
The only way you can use variables in actions is if that particular action was coded to handle Cottle templates. If it does not, then you could open an enhancement with the plugin owner to handle Cottle templates. Best place to ask around would be the Discord server, linked in the description.

Is there a way to continually update a variable value? I want my mute icon to reflect the mute state of my system even if changes outside Macro Deck. Right now I'm using on event to read mute state from file, using time and application focused variable changes. That's insufficient if I don't switch apps and every minute is too long. Is there a consistent event that fires every second or so?
GPU-Z plugin can refresh it's variables every >= 5 seconds. I'm using hot spot sensor, seems like the most consistently changing one. Downside is, GPU-Z has to be running in the background and started before macro deck.
I could be wrong but I think this came up in the discord community a long time ago. The GPU-Z approach seems like the most reliable, and configurable approach, but like you said requires other software to be running. Maybe I'll create a simple "Timer" plugin to help with requests like this. Feel free to join the discord server, linked in the description, and ask arlund for what others have tried too 👍
Yeah its a neat app. I did find some flaws tho to do with groups. You can force it to toggle obs groups via directly editing json, they don't work otherwise. Additionally I found if you want to interact with the sources inside the group, you can't, fails to pick those up. (adds them as non-group options but the variables do not change and are stuck)

I recently worked on text groups, so I would have thought this was fixed. Sorry about that. Be sure to include the versions you have installed for everything. Hey, I'm not sure of your specifics as I've never had experience with an actual Stream Deck. But it sounds like you could possibly do that with VoiceMeeter and the VoiceMeeter plugin.
