It's so refreshing to see someone with fine/thin hair demonstrate this kind of tool. I have the same exact hair type as you...and almost the same cut! :) Thank you for this great video!
Right! And the worst is the people with thick hair who have to make comments like “why would any one want that?” Anyway, I thought I was the only person with super fine, thin hair!!
I have really fine hair, so I got the Voloom Petite. It works much better on our hair type than the regular sized one. I'm guessing they didn't make the mini one when they first came out.
Devon, thank you for reviewing this. I have the same hair type so these type of tools usually intimidate me because I am worried I won't have enough hair to cover the crimping. Your hair looked great. I always look forward to your videos!!!
Thank you so much for watching! Yes be careful not to take it too far up , leave enough hair out to cover the crimps :) I really love this though and have been using it in place of teasing.
We literally have the same hair (I just chopped mine & dyed it dark red) so thank you so much for doing this! I hate all these volume tutorials that feature people with already thick hair. 😂 this makes me want to try the voloom!
Thanks for the video. I did see some crimping, but I'm sure you can flat iron those out. How has it been working for you? Does your volume hold in humid weather?
Very helpful video!!! I've never heard of this!!! Question- Is the waffle crimp the same size on any size Voloom, it's just the plates that are wider/have more waffles? I want a small waffle crimp but I have very long hair. THANKS!
It's a very similar effect :) the only difference I see is with the mini crimper my hair gets poofy and a bit frizzy looking. This creates a larger crimp and after wearing it all day, no frizz. Both will give you volume though so it's just a preference.
Wow! Seeing comments from 1 and 2 years ago, I thought Voloom was new 2017. I am so thankful to finally see someone with hair like mine. Also, sorry, but others on here call their hair "fine/thin" when I do not think they know the meaning! 😉
HEY! My hair is JUST like yours! I was so excited to finally see a review form someone with almost identical hair lol. What type of extensions do you use? I have tried them all and I can't find anything that works for my hair type.
you get the same effect from a mini crimper don't waste your money this thing is over $100!! you can get a mini crimper on ebay for less than $20 It is a neat product but not for the money.

Do you still love it? Or did you find something better? Thanks!!!!

Love the effect! What is the difference between the effect of this tool and a mini crimper?

Devon Baltimore thank you!

and if you don't mind me asking, do you dye your eyebrows as well?
Do you still use this and how do you feel about it now? Does it last all day?
Yes I still use it! It's great for not having to tease your hair :))
itsjaybytheway you literally look just like her just a bit older :) veryyyyy pretty :p
Cool
You have a piece of hair in front that’s going the wrong direction just wanted to mention I’m case you don’t see it
Your hair wouldn't look so thin if you had a blunt cut.
