@@goingto33 the radio tower structure is self made structure, i made it mostly from metal frames and metal fences, for the white satelite discs, you can find it and pick it up at almost every military check point, i got mine from military checkpoint at the entrance of louisville from westpoint route

Awesome!!! Mantains the nature of the (post) apocalyptic genre. Is very well done without losing that "touch" of being something improvised and built with whatever materials a survivor could find. No concrete, no decorated walls with paint, no aspect of a 5 stars hotel, etc. Yet very safe.

NGL it'd be cool if one could upload their base into a database to be generated (but broken down and with random loot) in other runs. Maybe up to 2 or 3 per area maximum
I love this idea I think maybe a modder could figure out how to dedicate a space on the map to randomly pulling base designs (within size restrictions) to fill those zones Maybe b42 will implement better house stories

@@nhvanonerz8244 that is not a mod, you just go to clothing shop pick up mannequin and place it to your place, and mannequin works like storage just drag clothes to it and it will show

Yes, you can craft it via more buid mod, in the survival section. So after you have the mod active, just right click, find more build > survival in the bottom

This should work like a sheet rope and I never test it against zeds so idk if zeds can break them.

Thankyou!! yes i did use brita weapon and arsenal gunfighter mod. i did picked all casings from zombies that i killed inside my garage when i'm at the early phase of building this base (because i lured them inside to get them drop the key for the garage). There're probably some in the grass but it's not visible, after i finished this base, i never shoot any zombie here anymore, this place is kinda in the middle of nowhere, probably only killed 8 or 9 zombies here so far. And i have 1 time only heli event in the setting and it happened when i was in muldraugh collecting things. and to be more completely honest with you those gun turrets never shoot a single zombie 😂😂

I asked because I also have the arsenal gunfighter mod activated, but I can't make sure to pick all the casings, especially in areas like Louisville and the prison. It seems the casings don't despawn themselves. I tried to add them in the removal list in the sandbox setting library file, that didn't work for me either. so at this point I'm a bit concerned if those casings left on the ground would make the game lagging in the later days.

I've made shooting range in 1 of my vid, i sprayed a lot with diff weapon outside the recording too, at some point my fps start to drop cus too many casings on the floor where char stand, it's best not to shoot at the same spot too much, but so far i never any lag problem with casings in "normal play" situation

I also want to do this but when I add the "more builds" mod, it doesn't appear in menu although I have every tools. It work again when I play on another PC but not my laptop, I also try to redownload the game but it still not working. If you have any resolution of this error, could you help me?
Thankyou, personally i never play or try it on laptop, but usually its matter of the order to activate the mod to minimize error. Like if you have lots of mod what you need to activate in order by type, map mod - gameplay mod - qol mod - cars etc. Also you need to check every mod requirement if youre maybe missing tile mods for req. Also if you want to to use the mod to your save game that is already on running, you can't just add it to workshop section, you need to add it specifically to your save game in "more" option in your save. But tbh with you i don't really know myself cus i dont have laptop, but i hope this help.

Thankyou! There's a trick to it but kinda hard to explain. Build wooden floor & wall first > place the satelite disc on that tile > disassemble that wall but your char position need to be in the opposite side of the wall + disc (like behind the wall) to be able to target the wall when destroying without destroying the disc (at this point you will have floating satelite disc) > after that you build metal frame from the same spot > destroy all the floors if you don't need it > if you build on higher floor means you will need stairs at first order and destroy stairs last. So overall it's about order & positioning your character. And in reality that trick will cost you more mats but will do the job. Disassemble as long as you can instead of sledgehammer destroy, i kinda forget but i think you can do the trick without positioning if you're disassembling, while destroying always means char positioning so if the floor and wall will be destroyed for sure it's better to use the carpentry wooden floor and wall than the floor from mod like "more build mod" Lastly i kinda explained and gave example a bit on the basic of that trick in my latest vid, maybe you can picture it more clearly by checking that out. Its the same basic that i use to built the tower radio with disc and frames in this base 😀
@@thijshoogenbosch5151 mine is 16gb ram, usually the usage only around half of it, its just that the rest like gpu processor etc kinda weak and old, if there's 2.5 up pop horde like heli event / prison / or in the middle of lousiville, also if there are bunch of things near me like in my mafia base vid, i dont have smooth fps even tho there's no zombie, with horde i'll get like 10fps or even below 😭
It looks really good but the problem is the containers in the front are counted as vehicles that means they dont actually work as a wall when you leave the area of your base , zombies can spawn in it
thx!! did u mean containers for gates? well i did build something on top of it, dunno if its work tho, but so far no zombie spawn anywhere inside my base, also if it happens then the turrets will do the job XD
@@apocalypseman yeah i mean the front gate ones, you probably cleared out most of the area which would lower the spawn chance i assume but jusg in case be ready you might get jumpscared at anytime, also make sure to leave your houses windows /doors closed so you will be safe in there 100%
Are Metallic Water Barrels and Campfire Barrels mods? The bonfire one probably, but the water one I really don't know, and if the water one isn't, how does it build?
No, both are the same, and it's vanilla, only available at military checkpoint refugee camp at the entrance of louisville if youre from westpoint route. There're like 5 or 6 of open lid metal drum filled with log, if you want it as a water barrel you right click on it and remove the log, it will have 800 cap each

If you already have the mod, then the spawn are random and doesn't have fix position, it's the same like any vehicle, mostly being in the parking lot or just on the roadside, you could also try visit the parking lot of big warehouses. Also you can tweak the spawn rate of vehicles in the sandbox setting to makw it easier to find
Hello! It will deff be boring at some point, but I didn't really played it, after I finished the base I just proceed with new save game to make new base. I have lots of hours playing to survive already and got bored since last year, so for now I only play to create aesthetic bases. Never have horde mods, as far as I know we can tweak the pop into max 4.0 on sandbox setting and I used to play with sprinter too
@@apocalypseman Thanks for the answer! Why is it better to play without a horde mod? Because of errors in them? It’s just that even if you set the population to 4.0 and play most of the time at your base far from the city, it will become boring. But horde mods would help avoid this. Is not it so?)
@@dyscyber I never said better, it's just I never have horde mode or never know it exist. And I have potato pc tried 4.0 pop fps went below 10 and could barely move. So max I can play normally 3.0 pop and still with bad fps but playable. I don't think my pc can survive with adding horde mod, but I get the idea playing with extra horde could be fun 😁👍
@@apocalypseman I highly recommend trying it! Playing with the horde mod will be useful for those who like to build very safe bases away from the city. This will relieve boredom. Mods can be very finely tuned in terms of time, number of zombies and their increase with each horde. One of the best mods is Horde Night. But there are others 🙂
Do zombies actually come to the base during a helicopter event when you are far into the forest or rural parts? I made the 'house by the lake' my base and have had like 3 helicopter events. No zombies came. And I'm like, what's the point of putting in all the hard work of barricading windows if nothing exciting happens or any threat of danger? Is it completely random and I'm just underestimating? Because I'm thinking of burning my base just to not feel bored anymore lol.
Yes, even with heli event no zombie still reach the base. I just did it for the look tho, but on a normal play usually i have superbsurvivor mod and i set the settings on raider very often, so that can make things interesting
The mode where you can attach silencers to weapons does not work for me. Even though I wear a silencer, the gunshots are loud. Does anyone know the way to fix it?
I am using the same mode. When I spray it with the silencer, the zombies continue to hear and come. I think this is just a visual and audio add-on.@@apocalypseman

Which fences? all the short fences was a mix of what was available in vanilla metalworking fences except the redish ones on the 3rd floor corridor otw to bedroom, this one is from "more build" mod. While the outside premiter tall fences are from "more build" mod. link in the pinned comment
thx! you can tow it with car, tho not every car has attachment option, you need to position the back of your car near the container but give it like 1 tile space and press V, use heavy duty type of car otherwise it will not move cus heavy, if you drag it tru grass road it's better to push it backward instead of pulling it forward, will be 10x faster

Hey @apocalypserman, your base is gorgeous and one of the most wonderful base ever I have seen. I also want to do this but when I add the "more builds" mod, it doesn't appear in menu although I have every tools. It work again when I play on another PC but not my laptop, I also try to redownload the game but it still not working. If you have any resolution of this error, could you help me?
Thankyou, personally i never play or try it on laptop, but usually its matter of the order to activate the mod to minimize error. Like if you have lots of mod what you need to activate in order by type, map mod - gameplay mod - qol mod - cars etc. Also you need to check every mod requirement if youre maybe missing tile mods for req. Also if you want to to use the mod to your save game that is already on running, you can't just add it to workshop section, you need to add it specifically to your save game in "more" option in your save. But tbh with you i don't really know myself cus i dont have laptop, but i hope this help.

Thankyou! There's a trick to it but kinda hard to explain.
Build wooden floor & wall first > place the satelite disc on that tile > disassemble that wall but your char position need to be in the opposite side of the wall + disc (like behind the wall) to be able to target the wall when destroying without destroying the disc (at this point you will have floating satelite disc) > after that you build metal frame from the same spot > destroy all the floors if you don't need it > if you build on higher floor means you will need stairs at first order and destroy stairs last.
So overall it's about order & positioning your character. And in reality that trick will cost you more mats but will do the job. Disassemble as long as you can instead of sledgehammer destroy, i kinda forget but i think you can do the trick without positioning if you're disassembling, while destroying always means char positioning so if the floor and wall will be destroyed for sure it's better to use the carpentry wooden floor and wall than the floor from mod like "more build mod"
Lastly i kinda explained and gave example a bit on the basic of that trick in my latest vid, maybe you can picture it more clearly by checking that out. Its the same basic that i use to built the tower radio with disc and frames in this base 😀

@@thijshoogenbosch5151 mine is 16gb ram, usually the usage only around half of it, its just that the rest like gpu processor etc kinda weak and old, if there's 2.5 up pop horde like heli event / prison / or in the middle of lousiville, also if there are bunch of things near me like in my mafia base vid, i dont have smooth fps even tho there's no zombie, with horde i'll get like 10fps or even below 😭

It looks really good but the problem is the containers in the front are counted as vehicles that means they dont actually work as a wall when you leave the area of your base , zombies can spawn in it
thx!! did u mean containers for gates? well i did build something on top of it, dunno if its work tho, but so far no zombie spawn anywhere inside my base, also if it happens then the turrets will do the job XD
@@apocalypseman yeah i mean the front gate ones, you probably cleared out most of the area which would lower the spawn chance i assume but jusg in case be ready you might get jumpscared at anytime, also make sure to leave your houses windows /doors closed so you will be safe in there 100%

Are Metallic Water Barrels and Campfire Barrels mods? The bonfire one probably, but the water one I really don't know, and if the water one isn't, how does it build?
No, both are the same, and it's vanilla, only available at military checkpoint refugee camp at the entrance of louisville if youre from westpoint route. There're like 5 or 6 of open lid metal drum filled with log, if you want it as a water barrel you right click on it and remove the log, it will have 800 cap each

Thx!! If you already have the mod, then the spawn are random and doesn't have fix position, it's the same like any vehicle, mostly being in the parking lot or just on the roadside, you could also try visit the parking lot of big warehouses. Also you can tweak the spawn rate of vehicles in the sandbox setting to makw it easier to find

Hello! It will deff be boring at some point, but I didn't really played it, after I finished the base I just proceed with new save game to make new base. I have lots of hours playing to survive already and got bored since last year, so for now I only play to create aesthetic bases. Never have horde mods, as far as I know we can tweak the pop into max 4.0 on sandbox setting and I used to play with sprinter too
@@apocalypseman Thanks for the answer! Why is it better to play without a horde mod? Because of errors in them? It’s just that even if you set the population to 4.0 and play most of the time at your base far from the city, it will become boring. But horde mods would help avoid this. Is not it so?)
@@dyscyber I never said better, it's just I never have horde mode or never know it exist. And I have potato pc tried 4.0 pop fps went below 10 and could barely move. So max I can play normally 3.0 pop and still with bad fps but playable. I don't think my pc can survive with adding horde mod, but I get the idea playing with extra horde could be fun 😁👍
@@apocalypseman I highly recommend trying it! Playing with the horde mod will be useful for those who like to build very safe bases away from the city. This will relieve boredom. Mods can be very finely tuned in terms of time, number of zombies and their increase with each horde. One of the best mods is Horde Night. But there are others 🙂

Do zombies actually come to the base during a helicopter event when you are far into the forest or rural parts? I made the 'house by the lake' my base and have had like 3 helicopter events. No zombies came. And I'm like, what's the point of putting in all the hard work of barricading windows if nothing exciting happens or any threat of danger? Is it completely random and I'm just underestimating? Because I'm thinking of burning my base just to not feel bored anymore lol.
Yes, even with heli event no zombie still reach the base. I just did it for the look tho, but on a normal play usually i have superbsurvivor mod and i set the settings on raider very often, so that can make things interesting
You play on RP servers? I also enjoy builds like this.
what's RP servers? multiplayer? usually i only play in single player mode, as i can customize the usage of any mods and sandbox setting to build bases

The mode where you can attach silencers to weapons does not work for me. Even though I wear a silencer, the gunshots are loud. Does anyone know the way to fix it?
i use silencer from brita's weapon, and if I remember you can customize it in sandbox setttings
I am using the same mode. When I spray it with the silencer, the zombies continue to hear and come. I think this is just a visual and audio add-on.@@apocalypseman
@@omurcan112 well mine is working pretty fine, i change the sound in brita section on sandbox to make it more silence, if it doesn't work for you try checking "improvised silencer by maxwell" Mod, but i think it will not work together with brita

@@larxion5743 wait, which one did you meant? The fence or gate? If its fences that connect to gate was from more build while the door gate was from normal metalworking, also the fences that look similar to the door gate was also from metal working mesh fence 1 tile each

Which fences? all the short fences was a mix of what was available in vanilla metalworking fences except the redish ones on the 3rd floor corridor otw to bedroom, this one is from "more build" mod.
While the outside premiter tall fences are from "more build" mod. link in the pinned comment

how you move a containers btw great base
thx! you can tow it with car, tho not every car has attachment option, you need to position the back of your car near the container but give it like 1 tile space and press V, use heavy duty type of car otherwise it will not move cus heavy, if you drag it tru grass road it's better to push it backward instead of pulling it forward, will be 10x faster
