      No, it is crazy! It was only a few seconds and the color was gone on this dress. 😀

      OWB is pretty powerful, too fast in some cases! I want to try it in a spray bottle but I'm worried the fumes could be nasty :-O

      @@BLKMGK4 It does work really quickly. I haven't tried it in a spray bottle. That's an interesting idea though. 🙂

    Really love the dress! LOVE what I see are 'beaded' lines. Even tho they're not pink the color is a combo of the pink and Elisian. Love the color too! Thanks for demonstration of a rayon dress
    I'm always wondering how other fabrics dye. Thanks again, Angie!!! 🥰🥰🥰

    This inspired me. I’ve got a couple of early experiments that didn’t turn out the way i’d’ve liked…maybe creatively yanking out the color and starting over now I know more what I’m doing…?
    Went through your supplies list four times, didn’t see a cheap resource for the expanding colander-which made my eyes go so big I may have sprained something. (I’ve had a terrible time figuring out how to deal with ice-dyeing. Never works as planned)
    So. Really glad i clicked on this one. 👍

      Using Out White Brite is a great way to save a shirt. Blues don't work very well with color removers though. They will sometimes lighten the color, but most of the time they won't completely remove blue from a garment.
      I'm sorry, here is a link to the colander that I am using in the video: amzn.to/3XQhXFP
      I use expandable colanders and silicone cake molds a lot for my ice dyes. They are really great tools for keeping the ice on the shirts. Have a great day! 😀

      @FabricFool 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FunEndeavors also: I’m presuming, since you used rayon, it works on cotton too? I’m talking about the OutWhiteBtrite? I’m not familiar with the dye you used, either, as I’ve previously never strayed from Dharma Trading Co.
      Have you a video link where you explain this dye? Does it split? Or does it do some kind of vat dye magic? How does it do what it do?

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FabricFool Yes, the Out White Brite works great on cotton. It doesn't remove the color from polyester though.
      The dye that I used is a fiber reactive dye that is from Dyespin. This particular color is a Dark Horse dye that was formulated especially for ice dyeing to provide a lot of cool color splits. Since it was formulated with ice dyeing in mind, I haven't used it for liquid or vat dyeing. Dyespin is a dye company in Missouri.

    Beautiful dress! The blue lines are so pretty!! ❤ My mom and I were testing out Wild Garden this week, and she’s new to sinew, so she doesn’t pull it as tightly as I do yet 😅 Her lines were all different colors, not white…it’s not a fail at all, it looks downright ethereal 😊 Beautiful accidents are a big part of the fun of tiedye/ice dyeing for me, personally! I’ll have to pick up some Elysian for sure; that Mint Chip shade looks intriguing too, very mysterious. Fantastic dress, Angie! Thanks for the great video! ❤❤❤

    Pretty! Now, I’m off to Walfart!😂😂 Thank you so much for this (and all your videos!) I have tie dyed rayon, which takes color like a champ, but have never tried OWBing (or bleaching)them, as I was worried about the texture outcome, like holes. I did need to soak them with fabric softener after processing, as they felt snaggy and ruff, but came right back after the soak😅(before we had water softener system on the house). Super excited to see what all you had in that tote of OWB in your coming videos 🙌 Happy & safe 4th❤️🇺🇸

      Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! This dress is 95% rayon, but the 5% spandex in the dress kept it soft and stretchy. I've had that issue though with 100% rayon items before too. I had another dress and a variety of shirts in the container. I don't have everything dyed yet, but I'm working on it. I hope you have a fantastic 4th of July!!! 😀

    That ol blue does not want to give up its color does it. Wonder why.

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not at all. Blue is really tough to remove the color from. It may lighten a little bit, but that's about it. I saw an explanation a few years ago, but I can't remember all the details though. I figured it wouldn't work, but I thought I would give it a shot.

  • @bizjet
    @bizjet 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Very nice results. I’ve found that certain colors are extremely quick to react to the OWB, pink being one of them. Sometimes about five seconds is all it takes. Any longer and *all* of the original garment color will be removed. Do you think you’ll use this rayon dress style for future projects?

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I agree. It seems like some colors react very quickly. Yes, I bought several of these rayon dresses to try. One of the other projects in the Out White Brite is another dress. I haven't dyed it yet, but it is ready to go. They dye really well.
