Ha-As a self-admitted heavy hander, I can just imagine your conversation with yourself over adding more dye to the back side. You showed a lot of restraint there, girl. All in all, I really like it and hope you do several more in other color schemes. I also am not a big fan of yellow with one exception. Daffodils. I planted around 400 last fall for a personal record. I am a rabid gardener and plant them every year mostly in pots. When they are spent, out they come for annuals but never any yellow ones. I just love daffs. I repeat this ritual every year making sure to store my bulbs for the next fall. Anyways, I really do like what you have done here and appreciate your posts as well as your artistic results. Mark in Tacoma
That's a lot of daffodils! I'm sure they are beautiful when they are in bloom. I love gardening too, but I don't think I have ever planted daffodils. I'm not a fan of yellow either, but I do love yellow in nature. Just not in any clothing that I have to wear. 🙂
Oooo, I really like it! Love the fan fold and especially like the spiral 'fireworks'. I think I'd like to see another burst, not sure how to do it. Love the Dragon Egg, it does stand out. I think the mustard yellow looks good. You did achieve a different look. Love it!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Purely Artist Angie !!! I think the dragon egg really adds a great contrast with all the and it's not just pink overload. Great design/ Fantastic video. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤ ❤ ❤❤
I like it. It is like this shirt is inspired by a rose that is at the end of its bloom. The green and yellow are the green parts of the flower… that I cannot remember the name of right now. I also like the bit of white that is there is sort of brings some definition to the spiral. Great job!
This gets a WOW from me, Angie. I love the colors and the great flow that resulted from the incline. I think Elven Lily would look great in the spiral area. Thanks for sharing.
The idea of mixing the two types of ties is super. Has me wondering if the flow would be the same if inclined on a solid bottom surface like in a gutter? Would there be greater saturation on the spiral? Or what if it was inclined in the other direction? I like all the pinks together. I don’t wear yellow and made the mistake of using DT LIME POP as a green. Not green…Bright yellow. Great video. 👍
Thank you! There may have been less white if I would've inclined it in a piece of guttering or something with a solid bottom. Since the spiral wouldn't have fit inside of the guttering, If I would've put some plastic cutting boards under the shirt I think that would've worked really well. The color I used on the spiral is kind of a mild color. I was going for a lot of splits so I didn't want to add too much dye. I could've gotten better saturation if I either put some more color on the back or just added a bit more dye to the front. Oh no, Lime Pop is very yellow. I don't wear yellow either, so I understand. 🙂
@@FunEndeavorsI’ve been trying the dye in lines on the bottom of a bucket with the spiraled shirt on top then DOI but the lines are almost non existent on the upper side. Do I need more dye, ice or time for the dye to migrate to the top? Perhaps you’ve had greater success with this method?
@@medolark I think I've tried a similar method with a spiral once using multiple colors in lines. I didn't have great success with it either, but I didn't lay down a lot of dye before putting the shirt on top and I added a more intense color under the ice on the top. I've used that method several times with a single color on the bottom and bright colors in lines on the top under the ice and had much better success. However, I always use more dye on the bottom than I did with the lines shirt. I'm not sure why, but I never came back to that design and did another one. I guess I need to come back though and do another one. If I were going to do a shirt like that, I would lay down a pretty good amount of dye in the bottom of the container in lines. I would also choose a container that was pretty much the size of the spiral. Then i would place the damp shirt on the lines, add enough ice to cover the shirt with a decent layer of ice and sprinkle the other dye on top. I would make sure not to add too much ice though because I wouldn't want my muck to be watered down too much or for my shirt to float.
Yellow just isn't one of your fav colors but I think the shirt is so cool! This is one of your best videos. The technique is original, the color choices are amazing and your narration is perfect. Great idea only using 2 colors for the spiral and the spaces between the dye in the fan filled out perfectly. Would love to see another 2 color spiral with dragon's egg and something else. Of maybe another fan fold but with much bigger fans. Or alternating some big fan folds with some smaller ones. Would that work? Or what if you put the dye on the folds at an angle instead of straight across? (Could you tell I just had caffeine?) Thanks for another great video!

Looks good. Sorta like a fireworks display up on the shoulder.
That's a good description for it! 😀

Thanks so much 😊
The bottom looks like marbling from a Florentine or Turkish paper dyeing technique.
Really nice one!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Oh! I'm going to try one like this. I think I'll tie it so there is more room for the spiral. Colors used will be key. Thanks for sharing, Angie!
Awesome! I think a little more spiral space would look great. 🙂
I like the shirt, but I really like this pattern gonna have to give this one a try for sure. Thanks for sharing Angie.😁✌️

Wow! It's so razzle dazzle. i love this. I do really like the dragon egg. it gives it a zainy twist.
Thank you so much! 😊
I see fireworks. It looks edible too! Love it.
I think it looks like a strawberry and watermelon dessert.
@@FunEndeavorsAHH, yes, I see it! 🍉
It really flows together nicely but it feels like the dragon egg, which I love by the way, needs something darker than pink. Still a lovely shirt.
I agree. I don't think it flows with the rest of the shirt.
I just tried this, using similar colors and Dragon Egg. I can't wait to see the results.
That's great - I'm sure it will be beautiful! 🙂
Very cool 😎!!! I can't wait to try it!! I think the Dragon Egg looks great on it. I'm not fond of yellow either, but I like it on this shirt.
Thank you so much! 🙂

It looks a lot better on the maniquen then laying flat. Dragon's Egg is tempermental.

I think I wouldn't fan fold so high up towards the spiral. Spiral would be bigger
