Lyrics:
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high, business was booming.
I dreamed that we could go outside
Without the threat of COVID looming.
We'd walk around so unafraid
Go out to eat for our enjoyment.
We'd work at jobs, and then get paid
But soon we’d file for unemployment.
Then corona came in hot
With its hacking cough and fever.
Now we're hunkered down at home
And we're slowly going insane!
And now my summer plans are gone
'Cause this is lasting way past Easter.
So I'll just sing Corona songs
Until this virus goes away.
And still I dream I'll see my friends
And we can all hang out together.
When this contagion nightmare ends
With joyful songs and sunny weather.
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this isolation!
And briefings from the CDC
Corona killed the dream I dreamed.
Wash your hands.
