Nice review and informative. I’m getting into whittling and was wondering what would be your thoughts on what model I should use. I have a Roper stockman and I do like it but I heard you mention a congress. I also wondered about a sowbelly. Do you have any insight as to which one would be better to use? Also, would carbon steel or stainless steel be the way to go?
Greatly appreciate you watching. I love pocket knives I tend to go with a congress pattern or a whittler pattern. The reasons being is that those patterns offer it-least 3 to 4 blades to work with and they are comfortable in the hands.. Carbon or stainless are good…Carbon seems to be easy to sharpen but don’t let that stop you if you find a knife you really like at its stainless they both will work 👌🏼.but I’d rather go with carbon steel blades if I can.
I like that Rough Rider Tater Skin. I definitely will be checking that one out. Thanks for the review my friend! 👍✌
