I’m going after this one Thrifty! I’m a southern boy, born Hampton, Va. Love your slideshow stills at the end of your reviews along with the well matched music. Quality efforts, take a bow!
Hi TK: Even though I’m a Norhern boy I love Congress knives. That is a really nice smallish one. I’m very particular about the blade configuration on a Congress, and that one is ideal for me. Two sheepsfoot, a pen, and the all important coping blade. Perfect. 👍👌
Do like the pattern and am quite fond of RRs amber jigged bone. In my opinion they have that traditional folder look about them in bucket loads. These scales can have a tough life and still look new years later. Don't regret buying a single ajb RR and most of mine are still heavily used.
Thanks JK, I'm also a fan of the canoe. 420J2 isn't the best steel the world, but more than serviceable if used in practical ways. It's also a cinch to bring back to a fine edge time and time again with minor effort. Buck knows how to get the most from the steels they use and the exclusive bone handles is a nice exclusive offering from Walmart.
Another great offering by RR. It seems different than my black and blue, must be an older one. great congress for $12!! I dont use mine much. But i really like how they are bigger than the Case offerings. Thank you for sharing TK!
Yea they seem to have made some changes to the newer ones with half stops etc. They are a bit bigger than the small Congress from Case, which I like as well. Thanks Tiger.
Nice looking knife, stepping aside. They covers look pretty good. I do like this pattern more as well. I have a nice half congress. Great knife and excellent video my friend.
I think the congress is a really cool knife. I have one made by Marbles that is beautiful. Both Marbles and RR make some excellent knives for great prices. When I buy from SMKW they come with a lifetime warrantee. Can't beat it!
The Congress pattern is one I don't currently have an example of, but it's on the list. I like how the knife is kinda bow shaped. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
I owned a congress years and years ago (gift knife from a relative) but none in my adult life. May need to get at least one somewhere along the way (good target for the Ossian, IN Case meet later this year). Thanks for the share, TK.
Perhaps not as popular as in the 1800s, but an interesting historical pattern. With four blades you can whittle a whole lot before you need sharpening. Thank you John.
You can get a lot of use out of that Congress .......unlike the one in Washington .
Great knife . Great review .( as always )
Ain't that the truth. Thanks, MB.

Very nice Robert. Thanks for checking it out. Let us know how you like it.
Great looking knife! Great pattern! One of my favorites!!!!
I'm betting you have some nice Case varieties. Thanks Mike.

No need to qualify, it's a great pattern that I've overlooked, and probably many others have overlooked far too often. Thanks, Bishop.

I enjoy the congress, but only original. 1 sheepfoot, 1 spear, 1 small pen, 1 coping blade. Thanks for your time
They do vary quite a bit. Thanks Travis.

The congress is an interesting pattern, with the 4-blade configuration, this one is very well priced and looks very nice, thanks for sharing, TK.
Glad you like it, Jose. A nice priced way to introduce yourself to the pattern.
Hey TK, another great review. That’s a great looking congress. Plenty of blades to get you though the day 😀
Thanks for sharing 😎👍🏻
You got that right, 4 blades o' fun. Thanks for watching, Sean.
Nice looking knife, stepping aside. They covers look pretty good. I do like this pattern more as well. I have a nice half congress. Great knife and excellent video my friend.
Thanks for stopping in for a look, Randy. This pattern has grown on me.

That's right they cover their knives. This is a nice way to get 4 blades.
I don't have a congress pattern yet, but I've wanted one for awhile now. This one doesn't look like a bad way to start! Cheers, buddy!
This is a pretty good way to introduce yourself to the pattern, David.
The Congress pattern is one I don't currently have an example of, but it's on the list. I like how the knife is kinda bow shaped. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
Yes indeed the bowed spine is typical of the pattern. Thanks for having a look, Dave.
Thanks for the look, see. Good video, brother.
Thanks very much, Michael. Had a great time with you on live. Take care.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Thank you. I had a great time. I appreciate the opportunity to hang with the greats 👍
Hey TK ,sweet knife I like multiple blades on my knives thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks Terry, I'm getting more into the Congress pattern.
Very nice, thanks for showing it off. 👍🔪
Thanks Radiogeek. The Congress pattern has grown on me.
Very handsome knife that TK, looks like another one to add to my list
It's a good one for light work. A perfect place to start with the pattern.
I have several congress knives and love them, for some reason I haven't gotten a RR yet but it's coming.
It's pretty well done, and the price hard to go wrong. Thanks Katfish.

Hope you're able to meet up with BigJ and others, Byron. Sounds fun.

Thanks very much for the comment Jeroen. There's strong southern ties to the pattern. Cool stuff.
Lincoln had a 6 blade Congress in his pocket the night he was assassinated.
Thanks TK
6 blade, yes you're right. My bad.
Great video sir. The RR Dog Bone Jack is back in stock in Chicago KW. It would be nice if you can review that one!
Ok, Josspe. I'll consider it. Thanks.
Also I just subscribed to your channel I really like the content you put out thanks
I appreciate that Terry. Good to have you and Welcome aboard.
Looks good , bargain at that price. Lot slimmer than a boker but much like older hen and rooster . I like these much better than RR with color spacers
Solid smaller congress. No nonsense design. Thanks, Randy.
Nice
Thanks, Jeff. 4 blades of fun.
@@ThriftyKaniffy you are very welcome! Heck yeah
I need to pick up a Congress don't own one.
Good old southern boy pattern. Great history to it. Thanks James. You're prize shipped Monday.
Thx TK .

I just got my first RR knife in and it's a beast!! I wondered why you collected so many of them and now I know. KA09R / RR1738 I love this knife.
The Classic Carbon lockback eh? Glad you are enjoying it, Martin.
