Ghost of tsushima was the one for me. I was literally playing all the side missions instead of main quests to enjoy the game for a longer period. I didn't wanted it to end.
Its been awhile since i dreamt about a game but RdR2 did it. It took me many starts and stops and let it sit for me to get into it.. but once i did, I was hooked. That game is a true masterpiece.

I highly suggest pushing through that first hour, take that time to learn the controls, like how to take cover and how to aim and all the little things that eventually you wont need to think about. Once you make camp and can go wherever you want, the game really takes off. It is the best game I've ever played. I'm so glad i tried getting through the start of the game for a 6th time. I really hope you take my advice and then come back to this comment in 100 hours or so and tell me how right I was =) enjoy bro

Stray is one of my favorite games of the last 10 years, right up there with Elden Ring. It was such an immersive, uplifting and escapist experience, and had so much heart.
The end of RDR 2 made a hole so deep in my heart that even to this day I feel like a lost a part of me when the game ended. Also unpopular opinion but Assassin creed 4: black flag also one of such game. Even thought the tailing missions were a bit frustrating but all of the story and it's end made it a great game. I felt the same emotions at the end of Black Flag which I felt in RDR 2. These were the only game endings which made me shed tears.

Side quests are also fun, there are some that defines morality; like a quest about you winning and asked if you should take the pregnant opponent's car as a token of reward . If you choose not to take, in the future-they'll update you with a picture of their baby. Etc etc
Playing through all 4 uncharted games is so fun but at the end, it’s so sad. I end up missing Nate, Sully and Elena. You really grow with them and they become so real.
Rdr 2 is the best game ever made in gaming industry, the world rockstar build is phenomenal and yes the game never bored even if you just walk around with your hourse, salute for rockstar

far cry 3 was the first game that made me feel this way. obviously, Vaas was the best part of the game but felt good to rescue my friends , most of them anyway. there were a couple missions that i liked with the undercover agent in the last part of the game that kept me in the story. The boss fights were letdowns but i really liked the story
For me it was God of War Ragnarok. I 100% it and enjoyed it so much I needed more even tho I did everything. I went back and 100% God of War 2018. I never did that for any game before.

The emotional Rollercoaster the game let you experience and the connection between joel and ellie is just something else. Every time I have finished the last if us I got the biggest post game depression bcz how amazing that game is. Great games in the vid, loved Prey especially. A lot of older games could make this list, Dragon Age: Origins, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, inFamous, The Walking Dead (TellTale), Spec Ops: The Line (yeah I know it gets over hyped but it's still a great game), Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (haven't played the remake but the og hit hard), Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Sleeping Dogs, Ether One... There's the og Nier too, loved the remake but I still prefer the og western release Nier: Gestalt where the titular character is the father instead of the older brother, and that game hits like a truck when you start to realize a few things then that ending. Even side characters and npcs leave an impression, great game.

Not the biggest fan of the Halo franchise but Halo Reach had me really feeling for Noble 6. Another would be the first Force Unleashed game, a super cool origin story for the Rebel Alliance in the Star Wars universe until Disney made it non-cannon.
Last of Us 2 made me sad while playing, couldn't wait for it to end, lol. I was so sad when I ended FF7 Rebirth, literally took a lot out of me to delete it from my PS5 after I was done with it.
Since AAA games traded soul for graphics, indie games are what we have to turn to. But I will say, Ghost of Tsushima is one phenomenal game! Hope we get a sequel next year 🤞

I’ve watched a lot of these sort of videos regarding “great games”. And every video has a voice over that sounds just like AI, but this actually feels organic? Like I’m having a hard time figuring out if the commentary is AI, or an actual human voice. I guess I’m just so used to hearing AI🤷🏻♂️ But anyways, amazing fucking video dude. The feeling after the Witcher 3 with no DLC and the castle is completely empty is easily the worst for me. That and Kingdom Come Deliverance were awful when they ended.
