This is exactly how I think about piano and rhythm and playing instruments! Thank God I'm not crazy - someone else thinks this way too. And I'm moving onto drums now. They are cake if you think of them like a piano. Dino rocks.
i really dont think there is a name for that song as of yet. been followin these guys since 2000 and that beat doesnt not sound familiar at all. but maybe it will end up on the new album. but am sure it was just a jam session for the sound check in this video. but i feel ya!! i like listening to that part of the video over and over
What kind of cymbals does he use?! He's definately a groovy drummer very entertaining to watch live... but anyone know what cymbal set up he has.. especially his hi-hats.
oh i know the end of the segment is bug eyes, am talkin bout 2:38 - 3:51 that sh*t is just insane. if you know that jam sequence from any of the 3 albums that would be cool... i appreciate the look out
How he plays is like an oppositon to what he plays. Hes doing really nice things on the drums and i like his ideas, but technically he looks like he plays for 2 weeks or something :D Pls dont get me wrong! I really like what he does. My only problem is how he does it. (my wrist really hurst while iam watching this xD)
@Uhnusual snare is tilted towards him so there can't be so hard rimshots. but in the fact that he has no relevant technique his hits can destroy everything^^
"Well it's clearly stated that Peart is better, and that he hits too hard if he brakes 6 pair of drumsticks everynight." When I wrote this I meant that Campanella hits to hard, not Peart, would never say that about Peart, Neil Peart is the king!
Well it's clearly stated that Peart is better, and that he hits too hard if he brakes 6 pair of drumsticks everynight. And what's the deal of playing piano and drums at thesame time? It's just pathetic and uneccessary.
I'm begining to feel that piano line is one of the best ever....
What a fucking band, still miss them
yeah. this guy's a monster on drums. good feel and energy. i love his band. i'll be seeing them tomorrow for the 3rd time.
@@dalekay9ine yea mate you know surely better
Was just listening to Catch Without Arms today and air drumming like crazy. This man is one hell of a drummer.
Not surprised he breaks tons of sticks.
the song this passage is from is called "Bug Eyes" from the album "Catch Without Arms"...to be found at TH-cam, too...

Does anyone know what keys he is hitting? I don't play piano and googling has got me nowhere.
I like that he has a pink snare. reminds me of strawberry quik.

'it was a double-bass, right?' 'nope, just one...' shiiiit, he's got fast legs :D
Like he pays for a single stick? He gets crates of them at a time from his endorsement deal.
"double base right?"
"no just one"
lol
he is goin to get chronic carpal.
but he is awesome.
he break so much sticks cause his ride is too much tilted
@Uhnusual snare is tilted towards him so there can't be so hard rimshots. but in the fact that he has no relevant technique his hits can destroy everything^^
As a drummer... Sticks are not cheap!! 6 to 12 sticks a day is gonna hurt his wallet
he is so hot
he has such bad ADD haha from like 4:15 on

why compare a drummer from the 70s to a completely different style of musician. RUSH ON OUT OF HERE
Hahaha, fail.
go play WoW lol
