Some of the jazz greats...Smith from Journey...Mitch Mitchell both have jazz background and were great rock drummers. Steely Dan had some great session drummers like Gadd
I was thinking "where the hell is Tomas Haake" but it seems not many people recognize his skill level here in the comments. Maybe they haven't even heard of him.
When I arrived at Joey, I was stunned. His legs didn't move, but the drums were very fast. His hand beats the drum with a heavy sound. He sat very still.
There are so many overlooked drummers that are unique, passionate and all out amazing. Buddy Rich started it all, Sheila E such an amazing iconic and legendary drummer, Steve Moore...for gosh sakes the guy is an ANIMAL, Lars Ulrich, Phil Collins, Ron Bushy...omg his drum solo on In-A-Gadda-da-Vida is second to NONE, Charlie Watts legend and true gentleman my gosh there are so many! Unfortunately so much is being lost in the last two generations...it's so sad. OMG I almost forgot an amazing, young and animal on the drums is Daniel Wagner of Greta Van Fleet, Jason Bonham is genetically spectacular and last but certainly not least by any means is Jay Bellerose. Joey is better but the Rev is no that bad listen to almost easy and Beast and the harlot they are my favorite if you don’t like him then you don’t like them and that’s OK
Danny Carey hands down. His set up alone is insane added with his particular style? BUT Neil Peart is certainly a LEGEND! I merely voted on the living.

Big Vin has been and will always be the best in my eyes. No hate whatsoever for the ones listed on this vid though. They are all excellent
Neil Peart all day. Playing fast doesn’t make you a good drummer, it makes a fast song a good song. Drummers for Pantera, Blink 182, Metallica and a few others have exceptional talent. Neil Peart is just on another level.
Neil is almost as good as Buddy Rich...almost
Phil Collins, Scott Columbus, Eric Carr
Dave Abruzzese, Tommy Aldridge, Lee Kerslake are some of my favorites.
Honorable Mention Phil Collins/Chester Thompson (Genesis), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Sheila E and yes Prince (people don't look at him as a drummer, they only know his guitar work)
R.I.P Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan!
I knew this would be good for a chuckle
This is a great list of some of the best drummers to ever live!! Neal peart being the absolute best of all time. Watching him live is insane!!
Idc if people don’t like the music, the band, or Dave himself, but Carter Beauford is just as good as Peart. Anyone who says otherwise is biased and/or a hater or just hasn’t seen him enough. He’s fucking absolutely unreal.
Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Max Roach, Larrie Londin, Chad Smith, Carter Beaufort, Jonathan Moffett (Alex Van Harlem is my favorite).
WTF where the Joey
Hiw the hell is Justin Foley not on this list??? KSE anyone???
Vc conhece o Eloi Casagrande? No momento acho que é o maior nome da bateria no Brasil, muito bom.
My favorite os John Bonham. Today Carter Beaufort very, very top!!!
van harlem lmaooo
Peart easily the best drummer of all time. In a league of his own.
Some of the jazz greats...Smith from Journey...Mitch Mitchell both have jazz background and were great rock drummers. Steely Dan had some great session drummers like Gadd
Joey Jordinson 🖤
RIP the Professor and Drum God, the great Neal Peart!
Some great choices there what would I like to know is who is the top 10 drummers top 10 drummers their inspirations cheers
The rev will always be the best 🤙
R.I.P Professor Neil Peart 🤘
A legend 💕🎶🎧
Thomas Haake deserves to be on this list
I was thinking "where the hell is Tomas Haake" but it seems not many people recognize his skill level here in the comments. Maybe they haven't even heard of him.
When I arrived at Joey, I was stunned. His legs didn't move, but the drums were very fast. His hand beats the drum with a heavy sound. He sat very still.
My top 3 are Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Keith Moon. Really doesn't matter what order they are in. All was in a class of their own!
Those are the 3 my hubby would pick too.
You missed the greatest Rock Blues drummer: míster John Bonham.
Bonham was a head of his time!!!!
I admire his fast kick, but there are better drummers
@@alexcruse1163 no there's not. You lose
Yep, Bonzo is light years better than anyone else
@@markhill9275 Neil peart, Ian paice, Alex van halen, Nico McBrain-just to name a few
He is spectacular and unique. His sound is such that when you hear him it's unmistakable that it is indeed him. Definitely one of my favorites!! Well there you have it. Google all of them and be amazed. They are worthy!!
Thomas Haake from Meshugga is definitely on the list. Listen to "bleed"
Or Clockworks.
Nobody is the best we are all one. Remember that kids. Just feel the music no right or wrong.
Jimmy A7x is still Legend
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer Why Is trash? Its a great band
How Many songs have you listened to buy them probably not enough that you can make her own opinion keep it to yourself
I know why it’s ok you listen to there first to albums
Thy are way better now yes joey is amazing to
Joey is better but the Rev is no that bad listen to almost easy and Beast and the harlot they are my favorite if you don’t like him then you don’t like them and that’s OK
Danny Carey hands down. His set up alone is insane added with his particular style? BUT Neil Peart is certainly a LEGEND! I merely voted on the living.
I don’t understand the lack of respect for Danny Carey on so many lists.
I also don’t understand the amount of respect for Dave Grohl. Don’t get me wrong, I like Dave Grohl, but i was never blown away by him behind his kit during the Nirvana era.
I've been around 9 decades over 2 centuries and seen em all and i agree Danny Carey is special.
@@mmedrano21,i think with Dave Grohl it is because he is an all round fine musician taking in other instruments, he is an excellent front man and overall a decent human being.
Missing Bonham, Baker and Bruford. Legendary drummers who influenced just about everyone on this list.
I was thinking to myself, how is John Bonham not on this list?
Bonham, Paice, Peart, Downey from good solid rock. Martin Axenrot from Opeth.
Nicko McBrain deserves a spot, especially what he can do with just 1 foot. (Where Eagles Dare, Stratego, etc.)
