Martin, awesome video as always! Question: what was the original color of the steel painted tube? Will the Montana Caribbean on a black primer give me that finish?

One of the most helpful paint job videos on TH-cam. A lot of great methods and tips shown! Now I learned that matt coat is thinner then clear coat so it's best to do the matt after sanding the clear with vinyl attached. Thanks so much for spreading your knowledge!

Martin, really appreciate your videos and the links with each. I have a carbon Rocky Mountain frame that I want to sand down, 2x primer, and color gloss black then 2x matte/satin clear like in the video. I have experience painting solid colors on bikes and feel like I can take it this far from your videos. Issue is that I want to paint on letters and some accents over the matte clear but have them show as gloss. Assume that I mask, then spray on the color for this but then spray 2x gloss maybe one coat before removing decals? Concern is will the lettering be too high with 1x color and 1x gloss clear. Thanks!

I’ve worked with vinyl for quite some time and was just wondering why you are working with masking tape and/or clear packing tape instead of transfer tape? I found that regular transfer tape works better with vinyl. It is easier to remove after application than other types of tape and have less changes to tear the vinyl.
