damn no actual footage of the Ligier. just a passing notice of the broken half-safts. bummer i was really curious about how that car looked against everything else
Let this be a lesson for every young'n who wishes they were in Hollywood. I'm from Riverside, bout 50 miles from Hollyweird & that place will twist your mind, just look what it's done to poor Ol' Bruce! LOL! Oh well, Mario won & atleast on that day, All was as it should be in the World.
The PC-12's were dogs.Penske saw the handwriting on the wall and scrapped them before Indy arrived. And all Rick Mears needed was a new March as everyone saw on May 27th.
I will be enjoy a monster F1 Turbo in 86-87 in Long Beach But Chris Pook had a super idea for launched the CART Series, race in Long Beach and in late 80's in Detroit after the F1.
maybe bernie shouldn't had tried to strongarm long beach into giving up more money. they called his bluff and ended up in a near 40 year old relationship with indycar instead.
@@xSoccerxCorex Bernie had kill the european motorsport and attenpt the same things with the Moto GP in 1992. It's damage because Long Beach is a beautiful urban track with Surfers Paradise for exemple, not the new Jeddah track ou the murder's Sotchi track in F1.
@@wandersoncampos3682 Yes the Abu Dhabi's and Djeddah track is also cool of a pollen allergy. It's a also good idea to raced in 1992 in Interlagos with a Moto GP. I purpose a back of the Oscar Galvez track and a Portimao GP.
Unless NBC slightly changed the name of SportsWorld(which was there anthology series like ABC's Wide World of Sports) whenever an auto race was the main attraction. Just a guess.
Seeing this version of this race with a portion of the beginning missing makes me want to kick myself for accidentally deleting my version of this race from the official IndyCar website (don't remember where I got it from, unfortunately) off of my HDD years ago. 🤦🏻
Rookie season for Emerson Fittipaldi from Brazil, twice champion in F1 (1972 & ‘74) and twice running-up (1973 & ‘75).
I'm in love with the 1984 cars, such sexy beasts.
Incredible that 40 cars had entered this race
Al Jr warns us of the perils of drinking and driving. 52:10
I saw another race where he said the same thing. Quite ironic because I found out he had an alcohol and drug problem that he struggled with.

the beginning of a new era for Long Beach

I don’t know if you agree with me, but Abu Dhabi’s track is very, very boring. It should be excluded from F1.

Apparently NBC used the name "SpeedWorld" before ESPN...

Sneva had a wonderful race in 3rd considering Sneva himself admitted he was quite poor at road races.
52:14 well that's just an unfortunate choice of stars for this particular PSA...
LOL! You speak the truth Sir, unfortunate indeed! 😂
This is just as ironic as that Spanish anti-drug PSA that Maradona did that same year in '84.
i realize it is kind of off topic but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released movies online?
@Aden Jason Lately I have been using FlixZone. Just google for it =)
@Lincoln Zaid definitely, been using flixzone for months myself =)
Wow, that was amazingly exciting. 👍
