Pulling out all stops on the Gems💥 Dice giving mostly Lakers (Bigs Campbell/Shaq) the business. Lakers Commentator Chick Hearns calling out the Bigs. Early stages of Small ball,
He was/is already in that territory. His 3-4 best seasons were right there if not better than Kemp. Honestly they were almost identical players lol. The athleticism was UNREAL. As athletic as PF’s can possibly get. And they had great ball handling skills with great mid-range jumpers. If they pulled up from 15-17 feet you thought it was going in. Great versatile defenders… you see how well Mcdyss did on Shaq this game? The speed, size, strength, length, and quickness bothered Shaq… same reason Hakeem bothered him so much. My top 5 PF’s are cemented in stone (Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Malone, and Barkley), but my 2nd PF tier has a lot more players. Webber, Pau, Stoudemire, Pau, Kemp, Mcdyss, Sheed, Chambers, Griffin, Larry Johnson, O’Neal, Aldridge, McHale, Love, Randolph, Baker. That’s somewhat in order, Webber and Pau can make a case for tier one and I would take them over Baker lol, but all of these players have at least a good 3-4 year stretch of all-pro caliber play. And I like ranking players on their primes so about a 3 year stretch. So based off of that I think these players are close “enough” they should be put on the same tier. Prime Mcdyss was a cold ass dude, this team here probably just needed one more piece and they would have been a legit contender.
What are you talking about? Kidd did nothing for Antonios career. In fact that's the single most disappointing thing about Kidd is that when he had the perfect PnR partner or lob catchers (McDyess or Vince) he didn't capitalize or play well together.
did not know this is how good a prime Mcdyess at first my idea is Amare w defense but it look like Mcdyess is a better version of Webber minus the passing skills?
hard to compare since the rules are so different and they don't call traveling anymore. physically the 90s guys would dominate but skillwise the new era has evolved significantly. High School kids are more skilled than many 70s and 80s players and some 90s players, but physically they couldn't hang
McDyess and his agent we’re seeking a big contract extension worth 100 million but upper management of the Nuggets felt that giving them all that money would be a waste of time
Antonio was one of the more athletic PF's in his day
I still don’t know why The Nuggets got rid of this guy. He was always a joy to watch!
Then he re-signed with the Nuggets
They slept on this guy. I allways said it.
Mickey D had a nice jump shot

He was heading toward the next Shawn Kemp kinda territory before he got hurt. A lot of careers ruined due to injury in this generation.

Went to th Knicks and fucked up his knee. I loved this dude.
Shaq took the night off. McSmooth was always in control and disciplined that's what stood out in his game. Almost never made a bad decision
Suns had a sneaky good team in 97-98, it's too bad they couldn't keep this group together after that season.
Underated Thx for d🏀pe vibe
👍
He deserve more all-star appearances, but unfortunately, never got more because of the competition in the west
Deserved a ring , should’ve had it in 2005🤧
No the Spurs wanted it more

Athletic player
This is why i love Jason Kidd. He made so many "careers" from his career.

He was Amare before Amare

minus the passing skills?
Post more NBC highlights please!
yes hopefully more David
That Suns team had 3 elite point guards, KJ, Kidd and Steve Nash, who couldn't even get into the game. And Kobe came off the bench then.
Even the mid tier guys from the 90s would be a problem today.

@@LamelKendrickjust take lebron as an example, lebron didnt have great skills but he still dominate players today by his physical strength
dude, hope you're not selling this game - i uploaded this to my other channel - Classic Suns.
Is it just me, or are the sounds of each basket coming about a split second before the each shot goes in?
You are correct. I watched it again there's a slight lag between the audio and video, my apologies here

Why did he go back to Denver?
He liked Denver, didn't want to get traded in first place
Shaq was horrible on defense in the transition, outside the paint and on the pick and roll.
Correct
