Thank you for this! This shows how good Larry still was even with all of his back problems. Legend!

Bird even with a bad back could still ball. Can only imagine if not for the bad back, he could of played a couple more years.

Karl Malone and John Stockton definitely won this matchup. Malone scored 37 points on an efficient 65.2FG%, and Stockton generated at least 57 points by scoring 23 points and 17 assists. To put it into perspective, Stockton generated 50.9% of the points scored by the Jazz.

@@MDBBall MALONE SHOULD BE HOF BECAUSE HE WAS STRONGEST AND TOP SG JAZZ ONLY HAD GOOD TEAM WHEN HE WAS AROUND. MAILMAN SAYS MANY TIME MALONE TRADE MAKE THEM NEVER CONTENDER EVEN THO 2 FINALS

@@PIP...33 Jeff was beast. Possible stronger than Richmond what is very rare. If u count BigO as SG (it should be he is almost 6'6) then Malone Drexler Richmond and 2 Robertsons - Oscar and Alvin are the strongest in history. People also forget how Nick Anderson is strong he could be top 5 ever. Older guys claim Pearl is incredible strong too and Dennis Johnson when he played SG in Sonics too.

@@PIP...33 yeah i forgot we both hate mj, but he fear of alvin robertson. he owns jordan since gold medal 1984 u remember when Raptors won vs 72 Bulls that night Kerr bricked buzzer, MJ catch fade bank but score after clock, Alvin came slap strong MJ on head like KG did to Duncan, and MJ run off in locker room away from him didnt say a word.

The thing I like about the jazz they always kept a huge big man center behind Karl didn’t really see that to often when u had a dominant pf like Karl already

I'm imagining the potential earful Brian Shaw was receiving from Larry Bird and his teammates and the coaches after the 1st TO as John Stockton was carving him up.

HE WAS JUST WITHOUT XP. ALWAYS SOLID BACKUP SG OR PG THO. MANY FINALS OR DEEP PLAYOFFS WITH LAKERS MIAMI AND ORLANDO.

Was 1 steal away from a quadruple double and sat the entire 4th quarter because "he had enough" of playing and the game was well in hand. 🤣🤣

SPECIAL RIP: mark Eaton/ reggie Lewis! / this is bird post bone spur SURGERY on both ankles which caused him to miss basically the entire 1988-89 NBA season (all but 6 games) after that season his body began to rapidly break down! [ NO ONE COULD SEE BIRD FROM 1984-1988! NO ONE! THIS COMES FROM A LIFELONG LAKER!]

Tim Duncan is No. 1 GOAT at Power Forward. This game featured 2 top power forwards, and I rank Kevin McHale ahead of the Karl Malone. Also, there are a few good arguments against Jordan as the all time GOAT in every position. Two arguments against him that carry weight? 1. The league expanded after his 4th & 5th year before great foreigners came into the NBA and 2. Reggie Lewis and Len Bias both died and we never had to see Jordan deal with a Lewis/Bias Celtic squad. Also, Chief was a great player, he's definitely underrated.

IF MALONE DID THAT THEN MUTOMBO ELBOWS MAKES DIKMBE GOAT. MALONE JUST REVENGE ON THOMAS. ZEKE FORGAVE HIM ON SIT WITH HIM KNOWING THAT MAILMAN JUST RETURN FAVOR WHAT PISTONS DOES TO HIM FOR YEARS PRIOR
