Nice work man. When I saw a couple shots with the sun working as a backlight it made me wonder if you used a promist. And it seemed you did! Do you prefer an 1/8 over an 1/4?
For me personally I loved the 1/8 look over the 1/4. For me I feel ike it gives you the effect without being over bearing. I have thought about getting another one like 1 or strength 2 for a situational effect
That sigma is really a nice lens....watch the first 15-20secs in 480 and was like this lens is really nice...then forgot i hadnt bumped it up to 1080p then my mine was blown.....this lens with this cam and a lilbit of film grain would be a serious full length feature if holloywood would just take a chance...instead of getting a arri for a feature i would take that $70k buy like 5 of these fully kit them for hand rig, tripod, shoulder and still have enough for prob 2 really good steadicams....more logical sense to me...
What up man! Couple things you can do, I would double check and make sure you are editing in 1080p timeline and not 6k. This is located in project settings. The second thing is going up tot he top under playback and seleting proxy half resolution if you need too. This should really help playback performance. If you are still running into problems, its time for a new computer haha
God damn i already got the camera, the speedbooster, battery, cage, mounts everything but i went a little short in money so i could not afford the lens and now i have to wait for my paycheck and watch videos of other people filming with this setup 😩
Hi Kilen, love your shots, i have a super long question maybe you have an idea. i just got my brand new BMPCC 6K, today i went out using it for the first time. I adapted some Nikon lenses with an adapter to the Cam. But all the time when i try to get something into focus, it seems impossible to me. No matter how far or close the subject is, the picture just looks mushy od smudgy. I tried several different lenses. Could that be due to bad lenses? Never had problems with any of them on my D850. I tried the following ones: Sigma art 35mm 1.8 (Nikon mount), sigma 24-70 DG HSM 2.8 (nikon mount), Nikkor 50mm 1.4, and Nikkor 50mm F 1.7 M42 Lens. i use the following adapter: eu.mygobe.com/products/nikon-f-lens-mount-to-canon-ef-ef-s-camera-mount?variant=35532462653608&Google%20Shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiApNSABhAlEiwANuR9YNJ8W3wkX-FPr4z0RUu4cH9xaqtRkE2TEujfxidwwma-URxeSXFWKxoCfH0QAvD_BwE nothing that i shoot seems to be in focus, the whole image all the time looks out of focus even that the camera says it is in focus (focus assist) My camera settings: 6K, BRAW 12:1 (also tried 3:1 same thing). Firm ware version is 6.9.6 Also the fan sounds a bit loud to me (is that normal with the 6K cam). I am a bit desperate since the cam is not the cheapest, but the cheapest good option i have and i really want to use it. Thanks for your help. If you need some grabbed stills let me know.
Really really appreciate the kind words! have not used any Nikon lenses on the BMPCC specifically but a couple things to ask. Are you using any external monitor to pull focus? Specifically something with Focus peaking so you are really able to see if something is in focus? Without this it can be challenging for sure! Another thing to look at is finding a friend you know locally and see if they have an EF lens you could pop on real quick and see if you are running into the same issue to make sure its not the cam itself?
My case w/bmpcc4k & speedbooster it cant focus at invinity, I have to rotate the internal glass of speedbooster until it nail the infinity focus. But your case it is only adapter, no internal glass to rotate. So you have to test it with native EF/S lens
is this shot without a speedbooster?
My bmpcc6k looks more cropped somehow
Love the colors. Beautiful
Appreciate these words!
It's such a great video.
Could you tell me which company's product you used for the MIST filter?
Картинка огонь! Cool!
Really good quality bro! Still shooting w/ the og gh4 and sigma 18-35 but can’t wait to upgrade to the bmpcc 6k
You sir just got a new subscriber. Awesome footage
Totally sold on the bmpcc6k. Incredible video!
Been eyeing the BMPCC 6k and wondering what lens I should pair it with. You sold me on the Sigma 18-35!
Its a beast of a lens!
great image..autofocus or manual? how is the autofocus on this lens?
Wow love the color and the vibe in the video. Which format is it shot on and did u use luts or how
Probably gonna buy this lens for my 6k based on this video. Thanks for sharing!
yeah, you know what you're doing!
I was under the impression this camera didn’t work with the lens. Or did you use an adapter?
Mounts natively :)
@@kilenmurphy it mounts natively but is there any vignetting?
@@DexterityProds The P6K has an aps-c sensor, and the Sigma is an aps-c lens. No vignetting to speak of.
that last shot tho!! man did u nail it!
looks like the road from Madras to Antelope... Beautiful work man
Appreciate it Cam!
In order to have this anamorphic look, you just change the aspect ratio in post?
Exactly!
What ratio 2:39:1?
That's just gorgeous!!! Please, please do a tutorial on this specific video 🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this! Really nice imagery.
Thank you appreciate it!
Beautiful footage !! do you recommend it ? my biggest concerns is image stabilization `
Appreciate it! I really love this camera, quality and colors are amazing. But honestly can't help but wonder what the R5 will do.
@@kilenmurphy Yeah i hope they come with good specs `
Love this! What were your render settings for TH-cam?
Appreciate it! Render Settings Mp4, native. quality 80,000kps

Very nice filming
How did u exposed the camera? 90% zebra? Were there any clippings at the bright scenes?
Wow I’ve been looking for this film look for a while. Weird question- What aperture F stop do you normally shoot in?
*youve got to check out film convert*
Beautiful work! Was it difficult to focus with that lens?
Not too bad, makes it easier with external monitor though for sure
beautiful footage
Thank you!
Whats the resolution on this
that's gorgeous

haha then you watch it on the desktop and press 5k and you are like what in the hell just happened!
Beautiful!
GREAT JOB MAN! JUST TOO SHORT
This video is on another level.
Did you use any i.r cut filter or N.D filter on the lens?
Nd filter with 1/8 pro mist
@@kilenmurphy Would they stack if I got both ND Filter and Pro-Mist at 72mm?
@@cupofkey6543 Yea you can stack as long as pro mist goes on first
@@kilenmurphy Gotcha. Thanks for the quick response! Loved the video btw! (:
color grading or lut ????
I'm learning aspect ratios aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnndddd... is this 2.76?
Very nice!
YES! More!
Working on it!
