- I wanted to create a video to showcase sampling and how it can be used. This track was a great start for me as it's been used primarily in house music and I am very, very familiar with it. There's some really cool examples and uses here. I apologize for completely mispronouncing Cheatham and the other guys name (you'll know which one).

You are correct. Btw, The original track that DJ Paul Johnson sampled, is called "I Hear Music in the Streets" by Unlimited Touch...,
They did use both those DJ Kom tracks in that essential mix though.

Hi Juan, unfortunately that is not true. While the sounds are similar, they did not sample "Get Down Saturday Night" for Voyager. Thanks for the comment!

@@Labergemusic I think they may not have directly replayed the sample, but it's almost the exact same chords, timbre, and timing. I'd almost guarantee it was designed to be similar.

In 1983
Daft Punk sampled Get Down Saturday Night in their single called Voyager. It's very subtile, but the chords used are from Get Dpwn Saturday Night. Also the French rappers DJ Abdel and Rohff sampled it with Oliver Cheatham co-producing the song and appearing in the music video.
Hey man, I've spent years researching Daft Punk samples with a pretty large group of people and it was never sampled for Voyager. We've confirmed it with Thomas Bangalter as well. Now the Abdel and Rohff was one I missed for sure though! Thanks for the feedback :D
