Tipper I received my cookbook today and I love it. I quizzed workers on some of the vocabulary words and she failed with flying colors. I told her I had to get her to the south. I will be trying some recipes this weekend. Thank you
I loved the end of the video where you loved in Katie! I used to sit with my mom as the storms rolled in out on the deck. I was 50 years old and still went to my mom for hugs and stuff or if I had a cold or a bad day or anything! Katie…I know you know it, but you appreciate every moment with your mama …..even when she gets on your nerves, cuz you never know how long or how much time you have together and the Lord never gives us enough time with our moms!!!

I visited my 97 year old mother today. She couldn’t hear anything at all today so I used notes on my phone to talk to her. We sat on the swing on her porch and watched the sky and trees, admired flowers and watched hummingbirds. We talked about the times my late father napped on the large glider on the porch after tending their huge gardens. I commented on all the work involved. She said it wasn’t work. She commented on how she used to pick a bushel of green beans, can them and them go out to gather more. Seeing the two of you sharing your conversation was so sweet. I also am subscribed to the Presley Girls, it’s always like visiting family when I watch your channels. Now I’m going to have to find some spot around here for some green onions and dill!
Katie is just the sweetest daughter. She always makes me laugh. Happy belated Mother’s Day, Tipper. Loved watching you plant and can’t wait to see if the wildflowers bloom.
That girl is so precious!! "I just want to be standing up there and..." She almost had me in tears. I miss my mom so much. Everything I am is because of her. Watching the weather come in is so cool. Such simple things as rain is such a blessing. My thoughts and prayers today are on Miss Cindy. My heart breaks for yall having to go thru this. Please pray for my neighbor as she is going thru the same thing and watching her husband being her caregiver is breaking my heart. Lessons being taught and lessons being learned is the circle of life. Hugs my friends!

Matt saying you only have one pair of blue jeans reminded me of my Dad. He had never worn jeans in my lifetime. He only wore kakai or brown pants and shorts. He also mainly wore double pocket shirts. One comment about your rosemary planting: Rosemary is an evergreen plant. I planted one among the inedible evergreens in front of the house. We fed, watered and trimmed it into a Christmas tree shape. Except for periodic trimmings, we cut nothing off that plant for at least two years. Over time, it grew into a large plant with woody branches that provided me and several others with all the rosemary we could use. I gave it to a friend when we re-landscaped the house. It was probably 10-12 years old then. Katie's antics are infectious. I really enjoy her. Bless you all.
Oh my.... I love it! I gave my granddaughter old packets of seeds while I was planting. She was doing the same... dumping seeds in holes everwhere. Then a month or so later I noticed these blooms under some of my plants... they were moss rose!! I had never had any luck growing them and she did with 10 plus year old seeds! Blessings!!
You mentioning thinking about where the wind comes from made me think how I marvel that we get dust from the Sahara desert in Africa that affects our weather and makes for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It’s just amazing to me it comes all that way. Nature is amazing.

So nice to see Katie getting some time with y’all out in the garden. She is so funny! Corie will pick out 1 tiny seed at a time and Katie just shakes seeds out of the pack not knowing how many came out. They are both so much alike at times and then at other times they are definitely very different. But, that’s a good thing! I know one thing for sure, they sure showed you love on Mother’s Day and when Katie talked about one day being one of the mamas getting flowers at church, you see that soft heart of hers come out. So fun to hear you talk of poppies. I was taught as a little girl with my daddy in the garden to study the leaves shape on a tiny plant. Dad asked me if this is a weed or a flower? So I had to check it every day to see . From that lesson, I am 78 now and I go by the same rule when I see something new starting to grow. One day I saw a new 2 inch plant, so I studied the leaf and I said You look like a poppy leaf. I watched it grow into the most beautiful bug poppy. It was called Black Swam with its feathery leaves and deep magenta center. Something I learned was that the poppy seeds are like pepper fine seeds. You should barely plant them in the soil. They r hard to germinate because people water them too hard and they are constantly being moved when watered so most don't germinate. Good luck. Gardening is wonderful for one's soul. Whenever I'm down I go pick me 37:39 a bouquet. Katty, hope you have success with your poppy seeds. ❤ Francie by Disneyland!
This year I planned 11 tomatoes and few potato eyes. I enjoy watering and watching them grow everyday. Brings me much joy & happiness at 72. Love watching ya'll plant together. ❤🙏
It's so beautiful to see you & your daughter planting together! I live in west GA and this year we decided to plant a garden and I've been blessed to have my college age son helping me and we have had such fun conversations. I have felt really behind in planting, but I think it has just been so fun to sort of plant along with you guys and I have been learning so much from you all. I feel blessed to have come across your channel & look forward to seeing your harvest!
I so enjoy watching y'all in the garden or doing anything, really. It calms me & makes my heart feel good. I commented on the girls' channel that I wish I could come to the Roanoke, VA book signing! Its about an hour from where we live. I was just discharged from Roanoke Memorial Hospital this past Saturday. Our son had to take me to the ER at our local hospital on the 2nd. because I was in unbearable pain. After an MRI was done it showed I have 2 fractures in my spine. One was found earlier & I was put in a brace. Then when trying to care for my hubby again, the 2nd fracture happened. I was transferred to Roanoke cause they have neurosurgeons & are able to treat trauma patients better. Thankfully, I didn't have to undergo surgery but was treated very well for my pain & had therapy to help me learn to move without causing more harm to my back. I had to be fitted with a different brace & have to be very careful how I move. No more caring for my hubby, no bending, lifting, twisting or turning; so basically nothing. I stay in horrible pain & have to take strong pain meds. So now hubby & I both need help. Our son has been doing all he can to help. He even took off a week & couple of days from work to be with his dad while I was in the hospital & that's hurt him financially. I feel like I messed up all our lives. This couldn't have happened at a worse time. I was told my bones are very brittle & weak, so doubtful I could withstand any type of procedure. My spine dr is trying to help me feel positive by telling me its possible the fractures will heal. He said not in days or weeks, but months. So I keep asking God for strength & thanking Him each day for just being able to get up & move a little bit. I'll be having PT along with hubby now, but PT will have to just be very cautious about what I do. I'll be having another session of spine injections real soon & I hope that will help my pain some. This has been very hard on me emotionally and physically. But it was nice to have y'all to watch while I was in the hospital. Y'all were about the only ones I wanted to watch during that time. It's like being with family when I watch y'all & since no one could really visit, except my sister came twice, it was so good to have y'all to keep me company! Those onions in your herb bed were amazing looking. I've never heard of those! Glad your herb bed got completed before the storm! We've had lots of rain & storms here too. We had a small tornado go thru the further southeast counties of VA. We actually had one touch down fairly close to where we live a couple years ago! Happy late Mother's day, Tipper, Granny and Ms Cindy. Praying God wraps His loving arms around her & y'all as y'all go thru this journey with her. At the end, you & Katie chatting reminded me of how me & momma used to talk. I miss her so much. I can't believe I'll be 65 this year & my 18 yr old grandson is graduating high school. Just so sad neither his pawpaw nor I will get to see him get his diploma. Just doesn't seem fair. But God has it all under control. We just have to trust & believe in Him. God bless you, Tipper! Tipper my Mama gave those little violets to me over the years. They grew everywhere in her yard. She loved them. She passed away in 2019. My violets grow all over my yard now. It is like a little bit of my Mama is here with me. Those little plants make me smile knowing how much she enjoyed them. She was a wonderful gardener. She learned from her Mama just like your girls have learned from you. Thank you for another sweet video.
Love seed sewing. My father loved to put holly hocks, sun flour, and,all real tall growing flowers on the ends of the garden and low growing seeds along the front side of the garden…he always said he could step over the low groaning flowers to hoe the garden…he always had a beautiful garden.
You’re so lucky you can grow cilantro. Here on the west coast of Canada I’ve never been successful growing it. It’s nice to see your family working together to make the herb garden. ❤️💋

So nice to see Katie getting some time with y’all out in the garden. She is so funny! Corie will pick out 1 tiny seed at a time and Katie just shakes seeds out of the pack not knowing how many came out. They are both so much alike at times and then at other times they are definitely very different. But, that’s a good thing! I know one thing for sure, they sure showed you love on Mother’s Day and when Katie talked about one day being one of the mamas getting flowers at church, you see that soft heart of hers come out. So fun to hear you talk of poppies. I was taught as a little girl with my daddy in the garden to study the leaves shape on a tiny plant. Dad asked me if this is a weed or a flower? So I had to check it every day to see . From that lesson, I am 78 now and I go by the same rule when I see something new starting to grow. One day I saw a new 2 inch plant, so I studied the leaf and I said You look like a poppy leaf. I watched it grow into the most beautiful bug poppy. It was called Black Swam with its feathery leaves and deep magenta center. Something I learned was that the poppy seeds are like pepper fine seeds. You should barely plant them in the soil. They r hard to germinate because people water them too hard and they are constantly being moved when watered so most don't germinate. Good luck. Gardening is wonderful for one's soul. Whenever I'm down I go pick me 37:39 a bouquet. Katty, hope you have success with your poppy seeds. ❤

This year I planned 11 tomatoes and few potato eyes. I enjoy watering and watching them grow everyday. Brings me much joy & happiness at 72. Love watching ya'll plant together. ❤🙏

I live in west GA and this year we decided to plant a garden and I've been blessed to have my college age son helping me and we have had such fun conversations. I have felt really behind in planting, but I think it has just been so fun to sort of plant along with you guys and I have been learning so much from you all. I so enjoy watching y'all in the garden or doing anything, really. It calms me & makes my heart feel good. I commented on the girls' channel that I wish I could come to the Roanoke, VA book signing! Its about an hour from where we live. I was just discharged from Roanoke Memorial Hospital this past Saturday. Our son had to take me to the ER at our local hospital on the 2nd. because I was in unbearable pain. After an MRI was done it showed I have 2 fractures in my spine. One was found earlier & I was put in a brace. Then when trying to care for my hubby again, the 2nd fracture happened. I was transferred to Roanoke cause they have neurosurgeons & are able to treat trauma patients better. Thankfully, I didn't have to undergo surgery but was treated very well for my pain & had therapy to help me learn to move without causing more harm to my back. I had to be fitted with a different brace & have to be very careful how I move. No more caring for my hubby, no bending, lifting, twisting or turning; so basically nothing. I stay in horrible pain & have to take strong pain meds. So now hubby & I both need help. Our son has been doing all he can to help. He even took off a week & couple of days from work to be with his dad while I was in the hospital & that's hurt him financially. I feel like I messed up all our lives. This couldn't have happened at a worse time. I was told my bones are very brittle & weak, so doubtful I could withstand any type of procedure. My spine dr is trying to help me feel positive by telling me its possible the fractures will heal. He said not in days or weeks, but months. So I keep asking God for strength & thanking Him each day for just being able to get up & move a little bit. I'll be having PT along with hubby now, but PT will have to just be very cautious about what I do. I'll be having another session of spine injections real soon & I hope that will help my pain some. This has been very hard on me emotionally and physically. But it was nice to have y'all to watch while I was in the hospital. Y'all were about the only ones I wanted to watch during that time. It's like being with family when I watch y'all & since no one could really visit, except my sister came twice, it was so good to have y'all to keep me company! Those onions in your herb bed were amazing looking. I've never heard of those! Glad your herb bed got completed before the storm! We've had lots of rain & storms here too. We had a small tornado go thru the further southeast counties of VA. We actually had one touch down fairly close to where we live a couple years ago! Happy late Mother's day, Tipper, Granny and Ms Cindy. Praying God wraps His loving arms around her & y'all as y'all go thru this journey with her. At the end, you & Katie chatting reminded me of how me & momma used to talk. I miss her so much. I can't believe I'll be 65 this year & my 18 yr old grandson is graduating high school. Just so sad neither his pawpaw nor I will get to see him get his diploma. Just doesn't seem fair. But God has it all under control. We just have to trust & believe in Him. God bless you, Tipper! Tipper my Mama gave those little violets to me over the years. They grew everywhere in her yard. She loved them. She passed away in 2019. My violets grow all over my yard now. It is like a little bit of my Mama is here with me. Those little plants make me smile knowing how much she enjoyed them. She was a wonderful gardener. She learned from her Mama just like your girls have learned from you.

Love seed sewing. My father loved to put holly hocks, sun flour, and,all real tall growing flowers on the ends of the garden and low growing seeds along the front side of the garden…he always said he could step over the low groaning flowers to hoe the garden…he always had a beautiful garden.

Seeing Tippers knowing wisdom at the end and her pride in her daughter was so beautiful! Katie's excitement in growing flowers was so sweet. I remember planting with my mom about 40 years ago on my & hubby's little 2 acre plot behind our home and listening to her wisdom and wondering how she knew when to plant certain plants. I'd give anything to go back then with her. ❤ yes, moms are who you go to for all of life's events...good & bad. Happy belated Mother's day, Tipper.
