M’s husband, because I needed to see for my son’s ranger, I really appreciate it!

This has been extremely helpful to a greenhorn. Thanks for making it.

Thank you for this video and the information about the wiring harness. I got everything together and was kind of concerned about the Orange wire being absent from my Excelon KDC-X305 wire harness. You explained it simply and efficiently. 🙌🥰

Nice writeup man! I used to just strip the wires and use butt connectors + electrical tape but the solder does give better peace of mind. I don't do customer vehicles, just my own. It takes time to learn to solder well but I think it's worth the time.

Great video! Will be doing this in my truck and you really proved a point in regards to soldering and heat shrinking!

Thank you for the video. I'm glad to finally see someone who solders connections instead of using crimp connectors. While you were making the wiring harness, why didn't you cut the wires for each connector shorter and eliminate some of the excess cable behind the radio? Is there a lot of extra space in the console for the extra cable?

Mike K I leave the excess just in case the owner decides to change radios then they won't have to buy a new harness when I rewire up the new radio. Plenty of room behind this radio some others are a little tighter. Thanks

The entire bezel comes off with just 2 7mm screws. Taking it off, you can secure it from behind the hole.

Do you know of any aftermarket radios that actually do support the Ford dimmer?

Hi! I am trying to order the things I need to do this. Where do you get the Ford Removal tools?

Would all those things work with a ford ranger 2002?

If you need help putting cage in, it's in the book that comes w kit, but also its probably the easiest part of the install sorry
