I am programmer and can say confidently that nowsaday cpu is very sufficient for OS to run basic task. But apple bloats ios in every update with unnecessary service, graphic, animation making it slower.

Never please never update it from 15.1, you'll just suffer from great performance decrease and lower battery life time. N btw 15.1 lags waaay less
