This is the best video on TH-cam Soo far.... cause you need to see the hand movements,how much to turn and how big to turn affects the trailer Soo much...all these hand movements have a sweet spot... balancing the trailer into the bay is not an easy task if you learning for the 1st time....Soo important to be really slow to catch the movement of the trailer.... also taking a shunt is not as easy cause you need to guide your trailer in such a way you not doing too much lil turns to catch your trailer.... The worst is when you shunted and you have straightened your wheels and as you moving back straight any slight lil turn of the steering will can lead you to be too close to one off the back cones....
I'm a first timer who failed this test yesterday. Only about one hours practice which fried my brain and then the test. All done with a shouting impatient instructor who has been doing it 20 years. Got it round to the arc position but couldn't control the trailer. Wish I'd never started this process.
@@Gabriel-er8pp In the same boat i ended my reversing lesson early completely fried my head as well got test tomorrow not passing it driving side easy.

I did my C2 in september last year and my instructor to me to palm and dry steer on the test, which felt wrong but I wasn't marked on it, I have my C1 in a months time and watching a lot of reversing vids to be ready and most do it in those.

What I liked about this video .he told u full lock right that's unusual info but verry good.

You'll be alright mate, you're allowed two shunts, I used one and passed... Main thing is take your time

That one hand steering at the start of the manoeuvre = FAIL before you start the test
Not with class 1 mate
On the reverse exercise for cat c, and C+E you can steer however you want.

You're not learning to drive, you're learning to operate a large vehicle. Dry steering, palming and crossing hands are acceptable.
