Last week I played with my group in this setting and they loved it. The city of Ravnica really feels like a unique place with the way the guilds can interact with each other.
The Golgari Swarm is awesome. This guild is super resilient! Also, it’s great that there is a Druid flavor different than the generic animal loving, tree hugging hermit. Dredge up some minions!
Eduardo Zatarain Guildmasters Guide to Ravnica takes place after the events of Dragon maze but before Guilds of Ravnica when Vraska returns. Otherwise in the current story you are correct.
I like the Golgari philosophy alot. Life from death and death is a continuation of life. But are they stuck with the "villain" archetype? What's a good way to have a benevolent/non-malevolent golgrai character? (Relatively new to MTG lore.)
@@gustadood9166 They are mostly depicted as villains in the first block in Ravnica, in the second block they are more benevolent and are depicted as oppressed by Azorius who also tried to genocide them, in the last return to ravnica set before War of the spark they are more neutral and isolationist, in the last two sets they are usually the guild that lets in all the outcasts of Ravnica, giving them a home in the swarm
Is this really going to bring Magick players to D&D? And if so...where are the Ravnica DMs at? I'm still waiting to see one. Will they really stop playing cards long enough to run a campaign? We will see.
Hello! I was looking through the information in the sourcebook and compendium guides for anything on Marketplace options to buy the Medusa race as well as it's "Undercity" subrace, and I was wondering if that was going to be added to D&D Beyond at some point?
Would this be a good guild for a Elf assassin? I think it would be a really cool flavor. It's either this or orzhov . I am a assassin for hire I collect debt that is your life. I am not afraid to kill to make myself wealth. I will kill anyone who gets in my way.
Imagine living on the surface
golgari rise up.
Shoutout to my spore druids out there
I'm building a spore druid now. I cannot wait to begin this campaign.

Need that playable race of Kraul guys.
I play a Golgari, druid ogre. He feeds the poor with the blessings from the rot farms.
Best guild! Thank you for this wonderful book and video!
Golgari is my fav, because I also embrace death as a force. Iearned that in order to truly live you must embrace death
I love the idea of putting archfeys in the golgari for warlocks and also to interact with should you stumble down the wrong block of the undercity.
Could you talk about House Dimir or the Orzhov Syndicate next? I find both of those guilds EXTREMELY interesting!
both? You only mentioned one guild.
? Sure yeah Orzhov, but Why would anyone want to talk about ?
Made my day, I'll make sure to send this to my Golgari player

Zerg rush
More elves than any other guild... Selesnya?
Lord BlackSpell: Calling all Necromancers, calling all necromancers!
isn't Vraska the current leader? and Jarad is missing?

Vraska had him imprisoned somehow.
@@SgtGonji No, I think Bolas did and he just gave Vraska Jarad's location.

“Have you had a Dream?”
Glad to see y'all back from PAX unplugged. Any schedule for the rest of the Guild guides?

DREDGE.
It's not necromancy is there is no necromantic energy. It's just controling spores in a corpse.
Dule810 essentially it’s the plot of “the last of us”
Heeeey... green shirt, black undershirt. I see what you did there 🤓

CallsignGecko yes
Medusa- yuan ti?
why aren't the kraul a race
Just give us Dragonlance 5e, Dark Sun or Spelljammer!
Dark Sun I agree,Spelljsmmer don't know it so I can give it the benefit of the doubt, Dragonlance on the other hand sucks
"and nonplayer characters" I meaaaan.. if you ask your dm reeeeally nicely and she/he gives you polymorph for rping 😂
Golgari is arguably the best, just saying.
This is my go to for the cards, but I'd never play it in D&D.
You should give it a try, I'm sure you'll have fun
Seriously, the Ari dude has ZERO public speaking skills... good content though.
