This movie actually pretty good with the story and the animation almost like a anime movie but it doesn’t matter what the movie look like because I do enjoy anime especially I haven’t watched it in theaters lol. Good movie right there. ❤

I think they just referred to it by that name as an easter egg. But there are certainly monstrous creatures in middle earth, maybe not exactly like this, but since there's a lot of mystery surrounding them, we don't really know.
