Love the nails Mary!! My 80 year old grandpa likes to get pedicures because he can't physically clip his toe nails anymore. His daughters offer to do it but he likes the salon, he goes with one of my aunts every so often. He likes the ladies giving him attention. It's cute.
Pineapple Lover. love that! My mom offers to take my husband for a pedicure every year for his birthday because his job is very physical and it always makes him feel better to see other men there getting pedicures as well.
Pedicures are my dad’s little treat for himself, says it really helps him relax and helps his foot pain from working on his feet. No color polish for him but he loves it! Peter should give it a try! :)

This is the earliest I have EVER been to a video!!!!
I detest packing. I have a permanent packing list I keep right in my suitcase. (also have a permanent packing list of everything that goes in my carry-on). Buy a fanny pack (horrors!) to wear on the plane, to keep everything you need at your fingertips in your fanny pack - stuff like eye drops, saline spray, hand lotion, facial mist, sanitizing wipes to wipe down your tray and armrests, Purell, Kleenex, throat lozenges, (airplanes are so dry) earbuds, credit card to purchase your food, etc. Take your fanny pack off and put it in your carry on before you get off the plane. I buy double toiletries/makeup/razor/body wash/lotion/deodorant/toothpaste/ toothbrush, etc. and leave it in the suitcase permanently. Put all your heavy stuff near the wheels, easier to roll. Bring a tall kitchen bag or pillowcase for dirty clothes. Roll clothes instead of folding them. Pack neutral colors so everything goes with everything, I pack black and gray. Wear your necklace, watch, bracelet and pair of earrings to use the entire trip. I pack everything in clear see-through packing cubes, (Amazon) so I can see what I need at a glance. Put one outfit in your husband's (or travel buddy's) suitcase and one of his outfits in your suitcase, so if a piece of luggage is lost, at least you'll have a change of clothes until they locate your lost luggage! I didn't mean for this to turn into a book. 😂 Happy, safe travels!

What ever happened to your monarch cordless vest? Why don't you use it for travel? Did you decide it wasn't doing what you needed it to or something?
She is taking it with her but it's probably too big to go in her carry on
@@oryx6282I know she is taking her vest but I haven't seen the monarch since the video where she tried it for the first time. Every time they have traveled since it seems like I've only seen her take her usual blue vest.

Glad the concentrator arrived on time. You guys have a great time in Chicago. I hate the bins at security. Recent tests have found everything from Strep to Staph to E.Coli on those things. Ewww.

Ack! That never occured to me!!! Im not one who thinks about germs, but you're making me heavily consider them now! Oh but I do wonder about the pumps on antibacterial soap...you pump the soap out and then sanitize your hands, it's backwards. Lol

That o2 concentrator was so tiny! It's amazing to see all the medical advances over time. My daughter's way much bigger when she had it.

I live in fl now..from winthrop m.a peter said i had my boat shrink wrapped and my friend from fl laughed so hard thought it was a joke!! I had to explain how we new England people shut stuff down for the winter..lol

I'm so glad that you found a salon that works for you, and I'm glad that the SNS dip powder is working for you. I do the shellac polish on my nails…it lasts for 2-3 weeks, and it's better for your nails than the SNS (it doesn't make your nails brittle like the dip powder system, according to the manicurist that has been doing my nails forever). My grandfather was a fabric salesman for years, and he used to have to make sure his nails were the right length (and didn't have rough edges that would snag the fabrics). Have a safe & fun trip!
I’ve been watching your daily vlogs for a long time, and your journey is incredible and you guys are so strong, I just wanted to tell you that you should totally watch the trailer for “five feet apart” it’s a movie that’s coming out in March and the main characters are Cf patients! Let the vlog fans know what you think of it! 😂😂 it seems like a cool movie
Hui Li I’ve read reviews by other people with cf saying it wasn’t that good/realistic. I’ll probably go see it when it comes out to form my own opinion.
@@marieked I actually saw a react video from a CF patient here on youtube a couple of days ago and he said that it's as realistic as a Hollywood movie can be. The girl even has a fake port on her chest instead of IVs and what she says on the trailer about living to do the treatments instead of doing the treatments to live hit him pretty hard. His channel name is "cystik1".
Claire Wineland before she passed due to CF helped a lot of with the movie so I would say it is very accurate. They had a lot of CF people help with it and consult on the film
I love getting my nails done. SNS lasts ages and is supposed to be gentler on your nails, but who knows. Safe trip!
Never seen a boat shrink wrapped, never seen a nail clinic like that either. Mind I rarely go out. I am not at all envious of your trip, I found our last trip so stressful, to the point that I didn't enjoy our three weeks overseas. Not even the cruise element. Anyway, I hope the three of you really have a great time? You must be so excited Mary, being able to eat while you are away. I hope you packed extra meds just in case you have flight delays. It will be interesting to see how you go with the oxygenator. A really cool, neat, small machine. Medically, America appears to be far more advanced than Australia.

Hello Claire, you are not alone. I have been sick with my own lung disease. But watching Mary go through each day gives me the strength to get through each of my hurdles.
My husband got his nails done for our wedding! He only got clear nail polish and it was nice for him to have clean nails and soft hands. 😊 It's a nice way for guys to take some extra care of themselves.

The trick to those little bottles is squeeze the bottle just a little as your pouring your shampoo when it looks like it’s going to overflow release it and it will pop back in the bottle and repeat till full lol . Have s great trip

I’ve noticed Mary’s cough hasn’t been as bad while on the steroids too. Of course video isn’t all day but it’s a noticeable difference from videos before you was on them and opposed to now. Your face has more color and you look healthier and just overall different. I love Ollie how he sits up straight in the backseat and so proper. I can’t even get my kids to sit that straight. Lol. Also where are the OLLIE celebrations... lol

That conference call song made me laugh! We also use the conference line for my work calls and my coworkers and I always laugh at that cheesy song!
That is the funniest and best hold song! 😆 oh my goodness. Everyone should have that as their hold song. Also I love the Aerobika and I mostly use that for my airway clearance. The vest I use every other day. 😊

You may need a note for all your medical indicting that you do use them. It has gotten so weird when traveling by plane. Have a safe happy trip. Concentrators are super easy to use and provide enough oxygen. I use one at night and tanks in the day time.

Mary, next time you need to move shampoo and bath stuff to smaller bottles, use a syringe instead of tipping the bottle. You'll have a lot more control over where it goes.

Mary, please don’t get SNS dip powder nails! It’s just super glue and regular acrylic powder. I recommend gel nails. It’s much more gentle on you nails and will last weeks if done properly. Love you guys 💙

We woke up to about 3in. of snow in our yard... This is the first in a many of years that we got snow before Thanksgiving... We weren't ready for it. They said we might get some snow but not this much....
We got a dusting of snow but it's the same thing with the timing. I think it's been quite a while since we had snow before Thanksgiving.

I love dipping powder. I do my nails myself. I found myself too darn picky when I have them done and I usually end up not liking my manicure that I spent 50$ on. I'm just now in a search for a better dipping powder liquid set. Since the stuff I had dried up and thickened after 3-4 uses.

Oh pharmacies, joy... I had to pick up an anti-nausea because of morning sickness. I was all out, and it was a Saturday so they couldn't get ahold of the doctor... And they claimed the dosing instructions were unclear. Thankfully, since I was able to explain the dosing instructions to me, they were still willing to give it to me.
