    When I was a little girl my grandmother, the neighborhood beautician queen of the original silk press used to do this on all her granddaughters hair. She deep conditioned our hair once a month and did a hot oil treatment, trimmed our ends every 2 months and used the high frequency rake after our silk press right before she did the curls. the rake had different levels of frequency I remember only being able to do the lower setting and then when I got older I was able to take the higher levels increase. All of our hair was bra-waist length and ranged from 3c-4c hair and this was back in 1987-1997. Our grandmother had them hands and she really cared for our hair all 8 of us. Never found a hairdresser who took such care patience and nurturing with hair care. She also did the ladies in the church and neighborhood. She never worked my grandfather was a provider but she made her pocket money doing hair and baking. She was perfect at both. 🙏🏾🌟🕊 rip Lillian.

    I see that you comb and brush your hair..I like that. I have fine hair and I see ppl on TH-cam say not to manipulate your hair...I don't comb it every day. I will put in twist and wear a scarf and then take down in three days comb and moisturize my hair and scalp.

    Can You Do A Video On How To Clip Your Spilt Ends. My Mom Does Not Clip My Ends At All She Is Not A Professional Hairstylist At All She Attempts To Cut My Ends. I'm Kinda Nervous Because My Ends are not Clipped and I don't have a hair stylist who does my hair and knows what to do to my hair. Thats really bad. When I get my crochet braids all my mom do is wash it and blow dry it and does not clip My Ends. The person who does my crochet braids all she does is braid it and install the hair and she sometimes oil my scalp but not all the time. I really hope I get my hair done professionally done wear I got to a shop and someone clip my ends before I go back to school. I do oil my scalp especially my ends. Love you Tierra ❤️

      if you are tight on money you can always get it done at a beauty school. I think the most it would cost you is 15 depending on the state. I would say go in first and watch a fee students to see who you like and then set up an appointment. the school I went to had us shampoo, blow dry, cut and flat iron (even naturals) for like only $12 or $15. it's been many years lol

    • @missbreezy3469
      @missbreezy3469 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicole Nunya That's soo annoying and rude tbh to floor students unless the student who is given to you doesn't know what to do then you have no worries but to go in requesting folks is so rude like we are all at school learning the same thing missy.

    • @CrystalRose1111
      @CrystalRose1111 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      miss breezy Actually it's not, I've had so many beauty schoolers fuck up my hair. Learn on a mannequin.

    • @nicolenunya984
      @nicolenunya984 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +miss breezy um no its not. that also teaches students how to handle appointments which real stylist have to do. our school had us take appointments and walkins. it's a balance and if you are someone who is unsure of the skills you can watch and request JUST LIKE IN THE REAL WORLD. it doesn't take away from anyone bc the person you did not request will still get walkins.

    That's a weird contraption 😂but maybe I need it. The front of my hair hasn't grow in years. Big chopped it grew to the same length and just stopped. HELP ME PLZ!

    • @TheTierraJ
      @TheTierraJ  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ladyisha Clark lol yes it sounds like your scalp needs some stimulation or it could be genetics and your hair won't grow past a certain length. But I would def give it a try, massage your scalp w/ oil every day and get that blood flowing to your scalp. Our hair goes through phases and it could be in the resting phase, so some stimulation will kick start growth

    • @ladyishaclark123

      Ladyisha Clark your hair never stopped growing, it just never retains length. Our hair never stops growing, unless you've got some type of damage like chemical, ect.

      sam sy yeah I know .when I was younger my bangs stop at my chin. Then I fell in love with sew-ins and led to damaged hair... and it fell out...so I cut it all off . Now my bangs barely touch my nose and it's been about 8 month since I big chopped.

    I add peppermint, rosemary, lavender and lemongrass to my aloe vera juice. I think it's made a huge difference, but my hair grows so unevenly, it's unbelievable. Have you ever heard of anyone trying to stimulate growth in just one area? I don't wear weaves or wigs, but I could use a short clip in for the left side, which has half as much hair as the right. Any thoughts?

    I think you just saved me some time and money from having to go to a specialist...I have a spot in my head from wearing closures a couple of years ago (hence why I don't wear them anymore). I saw Shantania Beckford's video of all of her beauty routines and she went & had a laser scalp treatment. From the looks of it it's basically the same thing as the high frequency treatment!

    • @TheTierraJ
      @TheTierraJ  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LaBeLLa MiSSDonna I haven't really done my research on laser scalp treatments but I would give the high frequency a try first! Your best bet would be to see a cosmetologist or dermatologist first though to make sure you don't have traction alopecia that can't be repaired so you don't waste your money. Good luck to you!
