EDIT: for some reason I can’t reply to your comment anymore so I’ll add to this one. As I was saying, Apple gives you 2% back on anything you use Apple Pay for. So when I buy gas, guess what? I get 2% cash back, and by the way, I get it in the same day! I don’t have to wait to retrieve my cash back money like with other banks. I used Apple Pay to buy a car and got a ton of money back! Apple also lets you know ahead of time how much interest you will pay depending on your payments, so you can plan to avoid interest all together. NO BANK DOES THAT! Apple also never charges you any late fees or over the limit fees. They have an amazing customer service too. But it’s not just about being an “Apple fanboy”! And btw, as for Apple products, heck yeah it’s amazing to have 0% financing and 3% cash back! I liked you until you started talking crap about the Apple Card. Now I know who you work for. Everyone who actually knows the Apple Card know that it’s amazing and incredibly efficient. It lets you in on everything and doesn’t try to scam you or make money off of you like all these other credit cards you’re worshipping.
@@nickoru1 Interesting take here considering I said that the card was solid for Apple products and when you use Apple Pay. There are just much better cards on the market these days for everyday purchases, particularly when using a physical card. I'm sorry I struck a cord here though. Thank you for the comment!
@@nickoru1 I appreciate your thoughtfulness here Nick. As I’ve stated multiple times, I don’t hate the card at all and I’m really glad it works for you. Thank you for the conversation!
Great videos packed with so much info. Anyone who complains about speech speed can pause the video or slow it down via settings. Most these days have the attention span of a squirrel so, great pace without the fluff of many. Some in the space one must be sped up 2x because they intentionally elongate the video with slow speech for additional ads and can be summed up in two minutes. Awesome video!
The AAA daily advantage 5 and 3% categories share a cap and the entire card becomes 1% for the rest of the year. The travel advantage only the 5% category goes to 1%. The 3% is unlimited.
Hello, please double check your source. According to their site, the Daily Advantage has a $500 per year maximum on their 3% and 5% categories combined. And the Travel Advantage has a $350 per year maximum on the 5% category only. So the Travel Advantage is the one with unlimited 3% not the other way around; and the Daily Advantage is the one that shares a cap on its 3% and 5% categories. Have a great day!
@@RDP323 that’s correct I had it backwards. The travel advantage has unlimited 3% on groceries, dining, aaa purchases. Daily advantage shares a cap on 5/3% categories.
Nice video! I’m definitely a hybrid set up kind of guy. I guess I am team cash back by default, but have added a couple of travel-friendly cards to my setup recently. Gotta keep some cash back in my setup, though. It’s really fun to throw my cash back into different investments, funds and accounts to make it grow. It adds up quick!
Thank you so much! I completely get where you're coming from. Investing your cashback could definitely produce bigger returns in the long run... honestly, I should make a video talking more about that.
Thank you so much! I've actually covered it in multiple watch me apply videos in the past if you want to check those out. It only takes a couple of minutes to do so I haven't dedicated a full video slot to it.
Those are some nice cards, I do have 3 ccc which I recently PCd from my aa mile up card. I did request a new CFU and it's without the number raised it's so much better.
I get why you mentioned the autograph journey but honestly nobody should really bother with that card when you consider the regular autograph gets you all the same earning categories with the exception of travel but has no annual fee while still having all the same travel partners. Speaking of which you really should do a video covering the wells fargo duo since the autograph and active cash make a really solid low cost travel pairing. You could also touch on the autograph journey as well and cover some of its flaws.
I get where you're coming from, but at the very least the card could be considered for the welcome offer and then downgraded in year 2. Not to mention it gives the broadest coverage of the flights and hotel category if you're a free agent in that regard. The WF duo is definitely one I plan to cover in the future though!
I challenge the notion of putting huge amounts of money (like $25k-100k+) at a bank for just a little more in CC rewards instead of a bank with a HYSA. I would consider the Redstone Visa Signature a 5.5% cash back card if pair their 5.09% APY Brighter Day HYSA on up to $2,500 with their CC. Which is better less than $0.50/year on $1000 at Bank of America or $50+/year on $1,000 at Redstone FCU? So you might say that's on only $2,500. I would consider Comenity's-Bread Financial a 2.5% cash back card on everything if you pair their CC their 5.10% APY HYSA on a scale similar to Bank of America. Which is better $50/year on $100,000 at Bank of America or $5,000/year on $100,000 with a Comenity-Bread Financial HYSA?
On my 3rd try I was finally approved for the Savor 1... the first 2 denials were actually for the Savor.... they probably denied because they knew they were ending it?
Let's go!! I would imagine you're right though. If you went for the Savor multiple times recently right before they ended it, that's probably why they denied you.
I mean, never say never, but i don't forsee myself EVER going cashback or even hybrid... but those cashback cards that can convert to rewards are great. Thats my focus now...
I see where you're coming from! I do wonder if there's a point where the time investment in the points and miles game becomes less worth it, especially if you invest your points. This is also really relevant for high income earners. I love the points and miles game though.
I appreciate the feedback! On videos like this, it can be really easy for me to talk faster and I'll try to work on that! But if it helps, you can always slow down the video by 0.1x or 0.2x.

For the catch-all category, I would have included the PNC Cash Unlimited card. Its a flat 2% visa card with no FTFs and cell phone insurance.
Definitely a solid option for those that can get it. I appreciate you mentioning it!

Can you please make a video or short on how to setup/use 5% category on paypal for freedom flex.

I feel like WF autograph card is so underrated
Because people are emotional bandwagon haters.
Also they don’t hand out referral bonuses like candy.
I completely agree! That's why I wanted to be sure to shine some light on it here.
@@flubberghosted2472to be fair they did have like massive fraud scandals.. not to mention they charge for every little thing banking with them.

Nice. Learning for the first time that most of these even exist
Hahah right?! And there were so many more that I could've included too.

Thank you Jon! Thanks for watching!
On the Capital one Savor, doesn’t the cash back only give you .8 cents per $1? I may be wrong.
3%. So that would be .30 cents if my math is correct
Yes do a whole video on store cards that would be awesome @Spencer?

You should definitely do that over using the physical card!
Plus gives you access to Apple Savings
I think the 10% grocery offer for the chase FF is still out there.
That'd be great if so!
We got it over the summer. First year 10x grocery (with no real SUB). It’s on Doctor of Credit site

It all depends on your lifestyle. Personally, I have little to no interest in travel cards, but in ten years, that might be completely different.
