    LTK , I've had my Olive composite dividend for bout a week. Its become my super leek! Composite is EDM machined then brazed probably in a heat treatment oven . Quite a process. I realize it's a bit of a novility yet a workhorse of EDC. Blade to handle length is awesome.

    Love that Version of the Dividend. I've got the base model, and had to replace the Torsion bar (spring) just yesterday. I found the best way to re-assemble is to put the screws in the scale & liner and then stack the other components on top. I also had the blade in the "open" position. Want to try and get the deep carry clip for my model.

    All things considered, not bad. I might even buy one. I can't believe I just said that! Y'know what the hook was for me? That backspacer! Weird, huh?

    I still prefer the Link over the Dividend, but I understand some people prefer a smaller lighter knife. While I prefer a larger knife. And the Link is like the bare minimum size I like to carry. Honestly I don't even carry mine very often anymore. I still have a pretty extensive collection of different Link models though. It was the first decent quality US made knife I bought and carried. I still think the basic model is the best value US made knife you can get for about 45 bucks

    It's the only other knife besides a Rat 2 I will carry. I would carry a Para 3 if it were priced like the Dividend.

    I got a knockoff of this and I gotta tell you it's hard for me to tell the difference, some tiny little things here and there stick out but I gotta tell you it's getting harder and harder to tell the clones apart from the real ones guys. Pay closer attention if your wanting a real one, they even got the composite part right. They weight Is even the same!!!

      One thing I can tell you is on his, the milling is flawless, mine has some burrs left behind in minor spots most ppl wouldn't notice, but someone who knows absolutely can.

    Man if they just were NOT "speedsafe"! "SpeedSafe" is a dealbreaker for me! And these ones can NOT be de-assisted or I'd jump on one

    • @kerpal321
      @kerpal321 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i dont like assisted either, but some of the kershaw and zt designs are so nice that im willing to deal with it. just add it to the rotation, you dont have to carry it every day.

    • @49giants3
      @49giants3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Larry Marsico why can’t these be de-assisted?

    • @kerpal321
      @kerpal321 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@49giants3 they can be de-assisted, but some models dont have a detent to keep the blade in the closed position without the speed safe torsion bar so

    • @49giants3
      @49giants3 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kerpal321 yeah unless you keep your blade taped shut , I can see how that could be a problem. Thanks for the answer and have a great day. Well as great as it can be

      I love the way an A/O deploys, and it's super quick on the Dividend! Just add some KPL and watch this baby turn into the fastest switch you've ever seen! Don't get me wrong, i love my manual flippers, but nothing beats a week designed assisted blade.
