The dots are so good! Looks way better than the LCD animations in modern pins in my humble opinion. There so much charm to DMD animations that is lost with the LCD displays.
When I played Cactus Canyon virtually on Pinball Arcade years ago, I actually wondered why we don't just go back and make more of the best tables of the past, and lo and behold... this is surreal. Thank you.
Have you seen or played the remake? I am on the fence about selling my Elvis and buying this one. I used to play the original. In what ways did they improve the game? I know they did some additional code. But beyond that I don't know much else.
@@veganm8918 I have not played the remake yet. They had to add code because, technically, the original was never finished as Williams was going out of business at this time.

Just bought mine yesterday, Wish I'd have snapped up a medieval madness when I had the chance. I owned an original High End Pins one back in 2004 that I sold for $8600. So a new one with the updated code is a bargain. lol. Now the question is - do I open it?

The gameplay on Cactus Canyon is amazing, shout out to orange county pinballs, because I played CC at one of their venues for the first time and it was so good, me and my brother were hooked. It also cost less to play than the other games (4 coins vs 5 or 6) and it was way more fun and forgiving to play in my opinion. The LCD dot screen is such a nice touch and it looks way more pleasing than the other pinball machines, which just look generic and lame with that tiny 11" screen. The greatest beef with the bigger LCD screens for me is just the responsiveness, I think. It's also too distracting.
Money. There is so much to be made you have to believe the IP holders would be interested in re-licensing to cash in. The Addams Family name (IP) is strong, some might not be aware but there were two new TAF animated movies released these past two years. While not the same thing the public's interest in The Family is still strong.

IMO all pinball should be like Circus Voltaire with maximum back glass and DMD under the glass where you can see it while playing.

Nah, DMDs ruined pinball forever. They made the games too complicated and confusing. Give me reels or alphanumeric displays anytime.
